**Highly recommend** We went on the free 3-hour walking tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great way to learn about the history of Medellin and see the "real" downtown.

REAL CITY TOURS

We have not taken this particular tour, however, it comes highly recommended to us. Guatape has something for everyone - hike 741 stairs to the top of El Penol or enjoy shopping and sightseeing in the colorful town!

If you are looking for a bright, festive, coastal town, hop on a plane and take a cheap flight (~$40 - ~$80 roundtrip) over to Cartagena for a few days. Heads up, expect the weather to be HOT & humid at this time of year (90 degrees!).
