What COVID-19 precautions are being taken?

Answer

In compliance with the Colombian Government, all international guests must provide proof of full vaccination status or negative COVID test upon arrival to Colombia. Our venue also requires proof of full vaccination and has indoor/outdoor space, therefore masks will be optional for our guests.

What are Colombian COVID entry requirements?

Answer

There are 2 requirements for entry: 1. As of May 1, 2022, visitors to Colombia ages 18 or older will need to provide proof of complete vaccination for entry OR a negative COVID test (48 hours in advance of travel for an antigen test or 72 hours in advance of travel for a PCR test). Travelers should be prepared to show their original, physical vaccination card or digital certificate both at airline check-in and when passing through Colombian Immigration. The vaccination document must include the individual’s full name, date of vaccination, name of the vaccine administered, and the number of doses administered. A photo of one’s vaccination card may not be accepted. If you completed your vaccination scheme within 14 days before entry to Colombia you will also need to have an antigen test 48 hours prior to arrival or a PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival in Colombia. 2. Can I bring a photo of my vaccination card?

Answer

No, you must bring the original physical card to enter the country. For restaurants and hotels, a digital copy of your card is acceptable.

Although we love your little ones, all events are adult only.

Is there transportation to the events?

Answer

The welcome party will not have transport but is a short < 10 min uber from the NH hotel. The wedding will have transportation to and from the NH hotel all night. There will also be taxis available at the venue if guests would like to leave outside of the bus schedule. The bus schedule will be available closer to the event.

Is it safe to drink the tap water in Medellin?

Answer

YES! The water quality in Medellin is excellent and is one of the few destinations in Colombia where you CAN actually drink the water without concern.

Can I use a credit card in Colombia?

Answer

Yes, most restaurants/cafes, stores, and activities accept credit card payments. However, you should grab a bit of cash for street vendors and tipping (i.e., tour guides). The best practice is to withdraw money from ATMs inside big box stores or malls. The NH hotel is across the street from a high-end mall so it should be very easy to locate a safe ATM.
