What's the deal with Covid?

Answer

We are taking the health and safety of our guests incredibly seriously. We will be following the guidelines of the state of Illinois to the letter. As of now, that means indoor masking is REQUIRED when not eating. As we have several loved ones who are at risk, we will enforce this. Our invited guest list is about 1/5 of the capacity of our venue, so the event will allow for ample distancing. Our ceremony and cocktail hour are both outdoors. Additionally, we will keep doors open for ample airflow during the reception, and there is easy access to the outdoor patio with plenty of space (and a fire pit for s'mores). We ask that our guests please get the vaccine if they are able to do so. We know the vast majority of our guests are.

Are Shaina and/or Nate changing their names?

Answer

No, Shaina and Nate are each retaining their own last names (i.e. Shaina Summerville and Nathan Boyd).

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot specific to The Venue at Goebberts.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, there is not.

Yes, but please account for them in your RSVP. There are plenty of family activities to partake in at Goebbert's prior to the ceremony if you wish!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Our dinner will be buffet style consisting of the following: tossed salad, apple bourbon glazed salmon, chicken Alfredo, potato salad, and baked beans. If you have a dietary restriction not covered by the above menu, please let me know. I can talk to our caterer.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors (weather permitting). The reception will be held indoors.
