Currently, the venue will require everyone to show proof of vaccination or, if not vaccinated, wear a mask throughout the event and provide a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the wedding. These protocols are non-negotiable, and everyone will be required to sign a document attesting to their vaccination status and negative test result upon entry of the wedding. Feel free to wear a mask, even if you are vaccinated, if that makes you more comfortable to attend! If you are attending the after party at Tin Rooster (located in the Exit 33 section of Turning Stone), please be aware that vaccinations are required and proof of vaccination is necessary to enter. If you are unvaccinated, you will need to wear a mask indoors at the Turning Stone at all times. You will be able to be in the general areas to gamble, but will not be able to go to the after party or any bar within the Exit 33 section.
Black Tie Optional. This is a more formal dress code so tuxes with a tie or bow tie and full length evening gowns are preferred. Dark suits with ties/bowties, knee length cocktail dresses, evening appropriate jumpsuits, or dressy separates are also welcome. Please avoid light colored suits and summery or casual dresses. Dresses do not need to be in any specific color - other than no white obviously!
No, we did not register for a room block since there is an overwhelming amount of hotel options in the nearby area. You will find all the options for hotels on the "Travel Accommodations" page. We encourage guests to book a room at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in either the Lodge, Tower, or Hotel - especially if you plan to attend the after-party located in the casino. All three of these hotel options are attached to the casino and you can easily walk to your room when you are done for the night. The Lodge has the highest price point but is the best for families or couples sharing rooms as most of them are suites. The Tower and Hotel are priced lower and have a more typical hotel feel. If you do not want to stay at the casino hotels, you can book at The Hampton Inn, The Fairfield Inn, or La Quinta down the street. We will have transportation from the venue to your hotel for guests, but the pick up to get to the venue will only be from Turning Stone.
Yes, we will have a shuttle bus pick up guests from the Turning Stone Casino prior to the start of the ceremony and head to the venue. There will be two yellow school buses (yay nostalgia!) to take you to the venue from 1:45pm to 2:30pm. The last bus will LEAVE at 2:30pm so please try to get to the bus area early. If you are not staying at any of the casino hotels, but would like to use the shuttle to the venue, please connect with your hotel to request their shuttle services to the casino. Please make sure to do this prior to booking your hotel because some hotels have changed their transportation options due to COVID! Our transportation at the end of the night will drop guests off at their hotel no matter if it is Turning Stone, Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, or La Quinta. Please make sure to include in your RSVP if you plan to use the shuttle to the ceremony!
Yes! If you would like to drive to the venue instead of using our transportation, there is a large parking lot that offers free overnight parking. If you drink too much, we ask that you please use the shuttle back to the hotels for the night!
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! If you are from out of town and need to bring your kids with you in order to attend, please reach out and let us know as soon as you can. We may be able to help you get a babysitter for the night.
If your invitation is addressed to your partner, then yes, if not, we ask you just bring yourself and your dancing shoes! Due to capacity limits of our venue we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Its late February in Central New York... soooooo... who knows! Our ceremony and venue will be indoors, but there is a firepit outside! We encourage a warm coat for the quick walk inside or if you see yourself stepping out to be by the fire.
Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all in the same venue. After the ceremony, we will be taking a few pictures nearby with family. Guests can head straight towards the cocktail hour area for drinks and light bites.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
Yes! We will have both gluten free and vegetarian options in our buffet, but please let us know if you are in need of other diet options.
While our ceremony will be 'unplugged,' we encourage guests to take pictures the rest of the wedding! If you post pictures on your social media, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #FinallyWakeManAndWife so we can keep track of all of the fun moments!
