Banff Gondola
Just a 10-minute drive from downtown Banff, take the gondola up Sulphur Mountain for panoramic views of Banff and the surrounding Rockies. We recommend going early in the morning to avoid the large crowds. If purchasing tickets in advance (which we recommend), bring the credit card you purchased the tickets with you as well!
Bow Falls
A short, scenic riverside walk that ends at a pretty waterfall - easy to access and perfect for a casual stroll. It's located right next to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, making it a convenient stop nearby.
Lake Louise
A must-see! Lake Louise is a glacier-fed lake with unreal turquoise water and stunning mountain views. The iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is located right here - definitely worth stopping to enjoy lunch or a drink. Please note that parking is limited, so we recommend using the shuttle service to get there.
Emerald Lake
One of our favorite spots is Emerald Lake! It is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Banff located in nearby Yoho National Park. This quieter (but just as beautiful) lake is perfect for canoeing or a scenic walk. Heads up: Parking is limited, especially later in the day. We recommend arriving before 10 AM to avoid crowds and secure a spot.
Peyto Lake
Another beautiful spot worth checking out is Peyto Lake - known for its bright turquoise water and unique shape. It's a quick walk to the viewpoint and makes for a great stop if you're exploring the Icefields Parkway during the weekend.
Two Jack Lake
A peaceful spot just outside Banff with great picnic area, calm waters, and a beautiful view of Mount Rundle. Parking fills up quickly, so we recommend visiting before 10:00 AM or after 3:00 PM for the best chance to find a spot.
Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Banff National Park mountains, this course offers incredible views and a world-class golfing experience. Even if you are not hitting the greens, the clubhouse and dining options make a great spot to relax and take in the scenery.
Silvertip Golf Course
Located in Canmore, this course offers epic mountain scenery—even if you're not golfing, the views and on-site restaurant are worth the trip.
Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club
Located just outside Canmore, this course boasts breathtaking mountain views and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're playing or just stopping by, the on-site restaurant is perfect for enjoying a meal with a view.
