It is our house! As many of you know, we moved up to Santa Rosa 2 years ago to try our hands at our dream of small-scale farming using permaculture principles. We've been working hard and part of what makes us so excited for this weekend is getting to share this space with our community!
bubeleh is a term of endearment in Yiddish, meaning "sweetheart" or "honey"
Kids are absolutely welcome! We leave it up to the parents to decide what would be best for their families to minimize stress (and maximize fun). For your planning purposes, you should know that the property does have a pond and a pool, so kids will need to be supervised at all times. We will also set up a room with two babysitters, art supplies, games, and a movie.
A tisch (meaning table in Yiddish) is a pre-wedding event in which the people getting married and their families gather around a table to sing together and kick off the celebration. Historically, tisches are just for men and/or held separately, but we are adopting it and adapting it to fit our celebration. We will be all together for the 30 minutes before the ceremony to bang on tables, laugh together, and sing some songs.
Since we are taking a little bit of a risk and doing this at our house, space will be limited and we are only planning for the folks listed on invitations. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns.
