We're getting married!

That's pretty much it! After a night out with mutual friends, we clicked instantly and spent the next several days together with barely a moment apart. As Sam was living in Olney and Justin in Frederick at the time, Justin spent a lot of time traveling back and forth on I-270, which as anyone from the DMV knows, shows some serious devotion. After knowing each other for only 3 months, we took the leap and moved in together. After a year, we relocated away from our families and friends to Charlottesville, VA where we've been growing together as a couple ever since.

Justin came to meet Sam and Raven one day at the dog park where not only he fell in love with this playful pup and her mom, but knew she'd be his dog one day too. She's fun, playful and she's got the best name. Go Birds! Justin even rear-ended Sam on their way out of the park that day. Nothing like a small fender bender to seal the deal!

Justin convinced Sam to take a trip to Florida to see an Oriole's Spring Training game because "Babe! They have a Friday evening game, that's unheard of!" So off we went to Florida with the promise that after the baseball game, we could check out a bit of Disney World and of course, Harry Potter World. Little did she know that in their shared carry-on backpack, there was a beautiful ring waiting to be given and Justin was sweating bullets. Before the baseball game, we had time to kill in Sarasota and spent the afternoon touring the beautiful Selby Botanical Gardens. Justin found a quiet secluded spot overlooking the water but Sam didn't want to walk on the grass to join him, until he persistently said "Sam, just come here and LOOK!" As we took in the sun shining off the water with the Sarasota skyline behind, Justin asked Sam to be his forever.
