Travel from the States to Barcelona
We recommend flying into Barcelona Airport (BCN). Major airlines offer direct flights from Dallas, New York, Washington DC, among other major cities. We recommend that you arrive in Spain no later than Saturday, August 1st, in order to acclimate to the new time zone and get acquainted with Tarragona.

By Train: the train is generally faster and more direct. Via Refe, the trip from Barcelona Sants to Altafulla-Tamarit station takes about one hour. Travel times are similar to Tarragona.
By Bus: Buses (Empresa Plana) take a little longer, often connecting from Passeig de Gràcia or the airport, with some direct routes to Tarragona with connections to the Altafulla area.
Taxis and ride shares are available in all areas.
