FAQs

Question

You know there's a pandemic going on, right?

Answer

Sadly, yes... But we want to celebrate (safely) with you anyways! Currently, it is our understanding that travel into Canada remains restricted for those who aren't citizens, and we also understand that some people may not feel safe or may not be able to join us in person. Should you feel more comfortable joining us virtually, we would love to have you be a part of our ceremony - please consult the Schedule tab for the virtual ceremony details, including the livestream link.

Question

Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

Given Montreal's protocols are ever evolving, check back here frequently as we will update this question as we know more. As of now (June 7th, 2021) masks will be mandatory when walking around the venue and not at your seat. With respect to dancing, masks will be optional on the dancefloor based on your comfort level around others. We will have separately packaged disposable masks for those who may need on the day of the wedding.

Question

How should I get to the venue?

Answer

Our cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception are all at the same location - Plaza Rive-Sud - and there is plenty of free parking available on-site. In addition, it is about a 10 minute Uber from the hotel, or 20 minutes from the heart of downtown. It is an open bar, so please plan accordingly and do not drink and drive.

Question

Where do I park/ enter the venue?

Answer

The venue has parking available on site for your convenience. If you are driving, we recommend you park in the basement parking garage (as indicated by signage when you enter the parking lot of the venue) and walk through the path located there. This path will lead you directly to the patio space located at the back of the building, where our cocktails will be hosted. Directions from here will be provided to help you get to the ceremony garden (weather permitting) and into the hall for the reception, once the ceremony is concluded.

Question

What is the weather like in Montreal?

Answer

It's warm, but like Canada warm so it can cool off at night.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We recommend cocktail formal attire, but we acknowledge that the summer can be hot so with an outdoor ceremony, do please try and be comfortable. For those joining us virtually via Zoom, the room is set up so that you can all see the stream of the wedding but no other guests can see you. Ergo, wear what you wish.

Question

Do you have recommendations for where to stay?

Answer

Yes! We have a group rate at a nearby hotel, please see the Travel tab above for more information.

Question

Is it Open Bar?

Answer

Yes, you animal.

Question

Can I bring my Kids?

Answer

As much as we love munchkins, we want you to be able to enjoy yourselves fully, so would appreciate if you make alternative arrangements for your kiddos.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We've tried our best to personally address our invitations to both you and your significant other. If not listed on the invitation, we ask that you don't bring extra plus ones so the venue can accommodate our party. Rest assured you will have fun with some pretty awesome people regardless!
