Legends abound that in 1932 Babe Ruth pointed out to Center Field and called his shot, hitting a home run to that exact spot just moments later. But he could only wish to be as lucky as Jordan. Two years after meeting at John Abbott, Jordan and Sevia finally went on their first date. While enjoying some wine after their meal, Jordan took his opportunity to emulate the Great Bambino. "You may not know it just yet," he proclaimed, "but someday you and I are going to get married." Although Sevia disregarded the comment as a drunken statement from an overconfident guy (can you say cocky prick on your wedding website?), something about it stuck in the back of her mind all these years. It may have taken 9 years, rather than 10 seconds, but this home run was sweeter than any other.
It's true, last September we got fed up of with not having any control over our wedding due to COVID and we decided to make it official (at least legally). We eloped at the Chicago City Courthouse with a couple of close friends as witnesses. While we are forever grateful to them for joining us and loved our wedding, it certainly wasn't the event that we had in mind when we started planning our wedding 2 years ago now. We would be remiss if we gave up on our wish to celebrate with all of our friends and family (plus we already bought the wedding dress), so please come join us to celebrate Wedding number 2 and tell COVID that it can't win that easily!
