July in Steamboat: mountain air and a bit of relief from the hot summer weather! The temperatures usually range 85-90 degrees this time of year. There's plenty of biking, hiking, floating and eating to do!
Howelsen Hill

There are mountain bike trails all over- get to the top and then ride down NPR. If you want a 4 mile walk up a dirt road to a view of Steamboat, park at the Blackmere trailhead and follow the road up.

We can't float the river if it is too low so check and ask with a tube shop in town. This is the put in. Take out at the library (before the bridge) and bus back up to the cars!
