FAQs

Question

How far is the venue from the resort?

Answer

The venue is 8.8 miles (20 minute drive) from the resort and about 3 miles from downtown. (on ranch roads, not walkable). Please plan ahead if you plan on drinking. We have a great shuttle option! Let us know in advance if you'd like to take the shuttle as there are limited seats!

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

Jan's neighbor has graciously agreed to let us park across the street. He will tell you where to park! We will need to have you sign a waiver. If you or your party plan on drinking, let us know and we will sign you up for the shuttle (Easy Street Rides) . Please don't drink and drive, if it comes down to it, find a DD and leave your car overnight if needed.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes, Yampa Valley Shakers will be our bartenders. We will have wine, beer, margaritas and gin & tonics. Don't forget your ID!

Question

Is there a shuttle or uber I can take home?

Answer

We have a great shuttle option: Easy Street Rides! They will pick you up from a downtown and/or mountain location and drive to the venue. They will make returning trips to downtown/mountain at various times. The last shuttle will leave the venue at 10:15.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Western, flowy dresses, bolo ties, chacos, linen shirts. Anything you want...but would NOT recommend heels because there is uneven ground to get to the ceremony spot and the ground is mostly dirt (hopefully more grass if it grows)! Remember your layers since it's outside and in the mountains. Last year we got a huge rainstorm on this date!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors with a large tent!

Question

Can I bring a plus one!

Answer

Please text Siena (970) 683-0843 if you'd like to add someone!

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

BBQ! Dean will set up his trailer and serve up some BBQ along with sides. The vegetarian option is Jackfruit. Please let Siena know if you have any dietary needs and we will try to accommodate.

Question

Where should I camp?

Answer

Steamboat KOA, Soaring Eagle RV Park, Yampa Valley State Park
