Our story begins with a blind date and two friends who were very confident they knew what they were doing. Brett and Kathy introduced us, insisting we’d get along, and set us up to meet over drinks. On Memorial Day 2022, we met at Liberty Bar in Pontiac, Michigan. What started as a simple first date turned into hours of conversation, plenty of laughs, and an immediate spark neither of us expected. By the end of the night, it was clear this was more than just a first date. Just over two weeks later, on June 18, 2022, we made it official. One holiday weekend, one bar, and two very persistent friends later, we found our forever.
