Flight
Kauai has one main airport in Lihue (LIH). There are direct flights daily from San Francisco, Oakland, and Los Angeles into LIH. Southwest, United, and Hawaiian Airlines (among others) are usually the cheapest options. If you haven't already, we recommend booking airfare as soon as possible, as prices are increasing! Our entire wedding weekend will take place on the North Shore of Kauai, in Princeville & Hanalei. All wedding festivities will unfold in these two adjacent towns, which are located approximately 45 minutes away from the airport.
House Or Rental
We highly recommend using Airbnb to find the best lodging options in the Princeville area. Since Princeville is mostly filled with master-planned homes and condos, you’ll find an array of diverse rentals to choose from. Any rental in Princeville will be in close proximity to the wedding venue (3-10 minute drive; or ~3-40 minute walk). The area is very walkable and is connected by bike and walking trails. Uber and other ride share options are minimal, so it may be helpful to consider the geographical proximity of the condo rental options when booking an Airbnb, depending on your preferences. As such, we note the following condo complexes are a very short walk to the 1 Hotel (3-10 minutes), making them the closest rental options: Puu Poa, Hanalei Bay Resort, Hanalei Bay Villas, and Pali Ke Kua. Airbnb searches within Princeville show rental options across all these condo complexes. Further, the Hanalei Bay Resort shares a beach with the 1 Hotel, and the two are connected by a walking path.
Hotel
We have a room block at the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. The room block rate is 50% lower than the standard rate, but the prices are still high with a nightly rate of $599-$699. There are much cheaper options at nearby Airbnbs. Please use the link below for the room block.
