Erik and Sam first met in July 2020 when they were partnered together on the ambulance at AMR for a few months. What started as two early twenty-somethings finding their way (and worrying their families) turned into the best kind of friendship. They officially started dating on September 1st, 2021. Over the years, they’ve shared countless adventures (and even more houseplants). Together, they’ve built a home where they love cooking together, curling up with their latest book or homework assignment, and occasionally squeezing in time to host friends — all while planning their next hike, ski trip, or adventure. They always make time for a glass of wine, a new cocktail recipe, or a spontaneous walk on the beach. On October 3rd, 2025, Erik proposed to Sam in Canyonlands National Park. Of course Sam was in her own little world, taking in the canyons and almost missed what was happening. These days, Erik and Sam can often be found walking the beach in their neighborhood, planning their next trip, and dreaming of the day they’ll have a backyard, a dog, and a garden of their own. They can’t wait to celebrate their wedding surrounded by the friends and family who have supported and loved them through every chapter of their story so far.
