Defend New Orleans: Local store with cute, unique souvenirs Garden District Book Shop: One of our many favorite bookstores in the city! Spyre: Great spot for those looking to book a yoga or workout class while you're in town The Exchange: A new pickleball spot with food and drink - requires court booking in advance!
Mid-City/Bayou St. John
This is our neighborhood! You can Uber or hop on a Blue Bike/ride up the Lafitte Greenway. EAT & DRINK 1000 Figs: Likely our most-visited restaurant; casual Mediterranean food Leo's Bread: Best breakfast in the city, in our opinion. Get the avocado veggie sandwich- you won't regret it Parkway Po Boys: One of our favorite po boy places Pal's: The best! We're trying to get sponsored by this neighborhood bar, if you couldn't tell from our engagement photoshoot Bayou Beer Garden: Chill beer garden with great vibes, especially if there's football on EXPLORE City Park: Urban park with a free sculpture garden, Cafe du Monde, and walking paths (bonus: check out Beignet Fest on Nov. 16: beignetfest.com) Bayou St. John: If you've ever heard us talk fondly about "the bayou," this is it! If the weather is good, grab a poboy from Parkway and picnic here Lafitte Greenway: Bike trail that runs from Mid-City to the Quarter The Broadside: Catch a show at this outdoor venue just off the Greenway
