Are we going to NYC or Long Island?

Long Island City is actually a neighborhood in Queens, New York, part of the 5 boroughs of NYC. It is directly across the East River from Midtown Manhattan. Despite it's name, it is much more central than the area typically referred to as "Long Island" (aka Nassau and Suffolk counties)

Garden Cocktail Attire Cocktail attire but it's still summer for a little longer in NYC so floral and colorful dresses are encouraged!
