Our Love Story

Our story begins in the Summer of 2010. I had just finished my Grade 12 year at Brebeuf College, which I have to mention is an all boy school. I was ecstatic to have finally finished High School and I was looking forward to a fun and exciting Summer break. Little did I know, I was about to meet my future wife. One day, my friends and I decided to hang out at Kids Town, which is a park right by Melissa’s house. Some of my buddies had invited a few girls to hang out with us too. I’m sure you can all guess who had my attention right from the start. I saw this gorgeous girl walking towards the park, with the lighting of the sun gracefully complimenting her beautiful smile. I knew I had to talk to her so I introduced myself and we started conversing. The chemistry was instantaneous. We had so much in common; both of our dads grew up in the same neighborhood back home in Pakistan, we both belonged to St. Aidan Parish, and that summer, we both got hired as summer students for Tangerine Bank. We instantly clicked. Later that day, Melissa was feeling a bit parched, so being the gentleman that I am, I offered to walk her to the water fountain. Before she was even able to take a sip, I gathered up all my courage, as I couldn’t resist anymore, and I went in for the kiss. This was the very first time we kissed. It was just the perfect day to a new beginning. Since then, we have spent hours talking to each other, whether it be through phone or text, or MSN or BBM (yes we’re that old). We became inseparable. I love our story but more importantly, I love the journey that got us here… the ups and downs, the twists and turns, the love that keeps us together through it all. I love knowing that time has made us stronger and brought us even closer together. And when I think of tomorrow, wondering what our love story will hold, I know it will be wonderful, for I’ll be sharing it with you. Looking forward to spending the rest of my life with my best friend, my partner, my soul mate.
