Is Acapulco safe for American tourists?

You may have heard that certain parts of Acapulco are dangerous. There is truth to this (as for every major city) but there's no need to worry. Because... 1- The hotel is only 19 minutes away from the airport and is in the newest, safest area of Acapulco: Acapulco Diamante. 2- The ceremony and reception will both take place within the resort (Las Brisas), so you won't need to travel around Acapulco. 3- Uber does not yet operate in Acapulco. However, there are licensed, safe taxi booths at the airport that can shuttle you to the hotel. DO NOT HAIL A TAXI OFF THE STREET. Suggested website for safe taxis: https://www.suntransfers.com/acapulco-airport 4- After you arrive at the resort (Las Brisas), the hotel can arrange safe transportation to the liquor store (a.k.a. Walmart), shops, etc., outside the resort. 5- The resort has its own restaurants and entertainment. 6- The resort is super safe and deals with international guests every day.
