Whats for dinner?

Answer

We have a local caterer, Masters Catering, providing a great dinner! Cooked on site, with live-action grilling! As part of our celebration, we’re inviting guests to contribute a favorite dessert to our wedding dessert table. If you’d like to participate, please let us know!

Are children welcome at the wedding?

We are delighted to share our special day with you! Children are more than welcome to join the celebration; however, we encourage you to consider enjoying a night off to relax and celebrate as adults. Your presence means the world to us, and we hope you can take this opportunity to enjoy a fun evening!

Where is Talkeetna in relevance to Anchorage

Answer

Talkeetna is a small town located in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley of Alaska, approximately 115 miles (roughly a 2-hour drive) north of Anchorage. Traffic can be heavier during the summer months so we encourage you to take that into consideration in planning your travel and drive time.

We are excited to celebrate our wedding with you and would love for our guests to join us in dressing semi-formally. We want everyone to feel special and look their best as we gather together for this momentous occasion. Thank you for being part of our celebration!

What is the weather like this time of year in Alaska?

Answer

In early June, Alaska typically enjoys mild and pleasant weather as we transition into summer. While specific conditions can vary by location, you can expect daytime temperatures to range from about 55°F to 61°F and cooler nights dipping to around 46°F to 50°F. June brings longer daylight hours, with up to 18 hours of sunlight, making it a beautiful time to explore the outdoors. While we may experience some light rain, June generally sees fewer rainy days. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater for the cooler evenings. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in the stunning Alaskan scenery!

The ceremony will be held outdoors on grass. The reception is indoor/outdoor!
