THE Engagement Shot. Potato Chip Rock in San Diego County.

Evan made it out the rock first, with Selina barely interested in standing up.

As soon as Selina was up, Evan was down on one knee popping the question and trying desperately to not drop the ring.

Selina lets out an audible "are you crazy?!"

Selina looks to the cheering crowd, forgetting that she has to answer the question.

Selina finally says yes, and Evan no longer has to worry that the ring will fall into a desert abyss.

Sealed with a kiss. It's official!

We enjoyed our visit with Evan's family friends to celebrate our engagement.

We took a trip along the California coast to Shark Fin Rock...it's not far from SF!

On a hike in and around Pacifica, Evan's old neighborhood.

We were among the first to be fully vaxxed! The only time our work as public servants actually served us!

Spending Christmas 2020 in Puerto Vallarta was a dream! Evan found this amazing restaurant with views of the ocean and we can't wait to return!

An awesome day trip out of the Puerto Vallarta resort and into a tiny beach town with plenty of tourist traps.

In the earlier stages of COVID-19, we took a trip out to Colorado, renting a camper van and driving all around Rocky Mountain National Park and through towns big and small on the way.

We drove Old Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park and had to hike the last bit to get to the top!

In Rocky Mountain National Park...where of course Selina had to be on the Atlantic Ocean side of the sign.

Hiking around Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. What a dream vacation!

On our trip to Colorado, we stayed at a campsite outside of Estes Park, and enjoyed the local tourism as a welcome break from camp food.

A long time dream of Selina's was to visit the famous Stanley Hotel, and while in Estes Park, stopped in for a ghost tour and drinks.

It's Room 217! REDRUM! Selina is certainly eager to book a night here someday in the future.

Selina told Evan all about the Big Blue Bear in Denver! Go Bruins!

A COVID trip to Colorado included a trip to the Denver Zoo where even the statues promoted mask wearing.

Jeeping in the Sierra National Forest, we stayed at an amazing camping spot off the beaten trail thanks to a family recommendation.

Our second trip to the Pepperdine Holiday Party in Sausilito. It is one that should never be missed!

Out on the boat touring around the San Juan Islands.

Who else can say they took a chartered plane, landed on a glacier AND got to see Denali up close and personal?

Started at Mile 0, now we here.

When isn't a good time for a wine country visit? Temecula is a great "backyard" favorite when visiting Selina's family.

What started off as a nice day in the low desert, quickly turned into a weekend of torrential downpours and a high desert snowstorm.

Backpacking out into the Joshua Tree wilderness.

Snuggling up in a tent in the high desert because we hiked through enough packed snow and there was really nothing else to do.

Jake and Flo, here for all your insurance needs! This Halloween costume earned us a huge gift certificate to a bar in Astoria, NYC the weekend of the NYC Marathon.

Did you know you can ZipLine right here in the Bay Area? This was a birthday gift from Selina to Evan and ended with a trip to Lagunitas Brewery.

A trip to Death Valley National Park about two months into our relationship. Selina is wearing the darkest sunglasses because she had just completed PRK vision correction surgery in the weeks before.

On a hike in Death Valley, Evan kept telling Selina how beautiful the park was and all she could see was blurry browns and greys.

Early in the relationship, Selina introduced Evan into all the best parts of wine country.

He says he will wear orange as long as the blue team isn't in town.
