We are getting married!

Selina and Evan met online in October 2018. Their first date was Trivia Night at a Food Truck Park behind the San Francisco Costco—Selina’s pick! She had brought many first dates here, and Evan even thought to himself, this is a GREAT first date idea, I’ll have to remember this for the next… Little did either of them know, this would be their last first date. Selina had finished a marathon earlier that week, so she was riding high. Evan remembers her showing up with her Power French Braid Pigtails to compliment her marathon finisher jacket and thought she must not be THAT interested if this is her first date look. Selina remembers Evan revealing his occupation and thinking, wow, this will be really embarrassing when he has to tell me the truth about what he actually does. At the end of the night, she went in for the first kiss anyway, and sparks flew. Fast forward three adventurous years, through many trips, a worldwide pandemic, and even some medical procedures to January of 2021. On a weekend visit to SoCal, Evan was able to steal away with Selina’s dad, Al, and ask for his blessing with just 24 hours to spare before the big plan! With Al’s blessing secured, Evan, Norma (mother of the bride), and Selina set out for a hike to Potato Chip Rock. After checking for the loose ring in his pocket every 30 seconds for about 3.75 miles, they finally arrived! Evan was ready, but an unknowing Selina struggled with the cliff, crawling out to the edge for what she thought would be a swift photo with Evan. After a bit of coaxing, a few curse words, and Evan literally giving Selina a hand up, Evan dropped to one knee and flashed the ring. Selina responded, “Are you crazy?” and Evan replied, “I’m crazy about you.” So now, FINALLY… Selina and Evan invite you to join them in celebrating their marriage on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido, California.
