We’re Getting Married!!!!!

Our introduction is very unique! I met D’Juan at Holmes Community College in the cafeteria, I was in nursing school and he was a cheerleader(mascot) and I was there trying to buy a homecoming shirt. He offered to give me the shirt off his back and I declined in a rude manner (typical me...lol). He followed me outside and pursued me even more so we started talking and here we are 9+ years later getting ready to walk down the aisle!!! We are beyond excited!!!!

The proposal took place on the early morning of October 25, 2021. We had traveled to Southaven, the previous night to celebrate my birthday with friends on a little couples get away. We ran late on our plans waiting on everyone to arrive so we all just decided to go get something to eat. Well, we ended up at Steak ‘N Shake ( it was literally the only thing open...lol), but we got our food and just kind of hung out at the hotel preparing for the next day festivities. I soon noticed everybody started disappearing for bathroom breaks or with their significant others. Well of course im nosey, so I told our friends that was left downstairs with me lets just go back to the room....well as soon as they open the door to the hotel suite my heart dropped because MY FIANCE’ was down on one knee with wine, flower petals all over the room and bed....decoratively, and balloons that read “Will you marry me?”, surround by close friends cheering us on!!! By far the best day ever!!!!
