Travel

This weekend is our excuse to gather our favorite people in our favorite place. We hope you make a trip out of it — whether that’s a night, a weekend, or longer. Summer isn’t over after Labor Day. While the only formal wedding event is Saturday, September 12, we hope you’ll use the weekend to enjoy Fire Island and soak up the last stretch of summer with us.

Travel Note

Getting To Saltaire, Fire Island

To reach Saltaire, you’ll take the ferry from Bay Shore, Long Island. Fire Island Ferry Terminal 99 Maple Avenue, Bay Shore, NY We recommend arriving early - missing the ferry means waiting for the next one. Getting to Bay Shore: 🚗 Drive + park at the ferry terminal 🚕 Uber or Car Service 🚆 Long Island Rail Road to Bay Shore, then taxi or shuttle to the ferry

Train

Train & Taxi Tip

If you’re arriving by LIRR, David’s Taxi offers a quick shuttle from the Bay Shore train station to the ferry terminal. ~5 minutes ~$6 cash (Venmo accepted, cash preferred) Walking is possible, but the taxi shuttle is easiest — especially with bags or tight ferry timing.
