Christian posts this poll on his Instagram to put a family debate to rest. Kaitlyn votes for blackberries to see if he might notice she responded... (He thinks blackberries are better too!) :)

Christian asks Kaitlyn to accompany him on a romantic roadtrip (AKA deliver furniture for his job at Madbury Road). They drive all the way to Newburyport, MA and realize he brought the wrong table!

On their second trip to Newburyport, MA (to deliver the right table), Christian spends his hard earned Madbury money to take Kaitlyn on a spontaneous plane flight.

Their first dance while both studying at Brown University in 2019 (Christian begged Kaitlyn to take him!). They started talking when she was 19.

Christian brings Kaitlyn home to meet his entire extended family, who are in town for his graduation, only a few weeks after they start talking.

Christian's friend shares this, and it hits home. Despite knowing each other only a few short weeks, with Kaitlyn heading abroad, they decide to commit to one another and see where it takes them.

Before Kaitlyn heads home for summer break, she took Christian on a zipline adventure in Massachusetts for his graduation present.

Christian graduates from Brown! Kaitlyn is already back in California for her summer internship.

Mid summer, Kaitlyn flies to Raleigh where Christian is starting his first job at Cisco. They celebrate her 20th birthday together.

At the end of the 2019 summer, Christian flies to California to meet Kaitlyn's family for the first time.

Kaitlyn moves to Denmark to study abroad - she travels all around Europe, but they still talk every day. She makes a very special wish in the Trevi Fountain in Italy (it seems to be coming true!)

Kaitlyn and Christian keep up a long snapchat streak (when that was a thing), calling late at night in Denmark after Christian finished work in Raleigh.

Kaitlyn visits Christian's family in North Carolina over the holidays after studying abroad. It was the first time they saw each other in almost 6 months!

On February 15th 2020, Christian asks Kaitlyn to formally be his girlfriend. Valentines Day becomes their most special holiday! This was also their last date before the pandemic hit :(

Kaitlyn and Christian decide to quarantine together during the pandemic with their family. It was the first time they were in the same place since almost a year!

If one good thing came out of the pandemic, it was the opportunity for Kaitlyn and Christian to strengthen their relationship. They quarantined with his siblings and nephews in Raleigh under one roof.

The Raleigh fam looks for little ways to have fun without leaving the house. They try to give Kaitlyn a "realistic" 21st birthday in the backyard - which they all regret very much in the morning! :)

They did date nights like pasta making, or "Think and Drink" with the family, watching a MasterClass and trying out new cocktail recipes on Thursday nights.

Kaitlyn gets notice she can return to Brown to finish her senior year virtually, so Christian drives her to RI. They don't know when they will see each other next due to very strict COVID regulations.

They make an effort to see each other on Valentines day in 2021. It is one of Kaitlyn's favorite holidays, after all! They celebrate their first anniversary on February 15th 2021.

Kaitlyn's graduates from Brown in May 2021 with a modified Covid style event. Christian comes afterwards to celebrate!

They kick off 2022 by celebrating at Christian's new house in Manayunk (Philadelphia).

Almost every year on Memorial Day weekend, Christian and Kaitlyn make their way back to Brown for Campus Dance and Reunion Weekend - the place where it all started :)

They take their first international trip together in Europe! They go to Nice, Monaco, and Barcelona!

Every year, the LaBrie's head to Raleigh for Christmas. They do a blind wine tasting competition (best wine wins!), games (the LaBrie's are very competitive) and a Secret Santa with all the siblings.

February 14th, 2023 Kaitlyn and Christian celebrate in NYC where Kaitlyn still lives. He surprises her with an Italian dinner and a trip to the tallest building in NY for a cozy cup of apple cider

Halloween 2023!

They flew to California to celebrate thanksgiving with Kaitlyn's dad, sister Rachelle and her niece Ella and nephew Luca in 2023.

Then straight to Bozeman, Montana where Kaitlyn's sister Kirsten lives with her boyfriend David. We had for a second cozy Thanksgiving.

They had so much fun in NYC last valentines day, so they decide to go again. Valentines day 2024 - 4th anniversary!

They go to Christian's sister Stephanie's wedding together in April 2024. Steph and Anthony host their wedding reception on the water in Newport, RI.

After the wedding, Kaitlyn and Christian head to Japan on his dream trip with some of their best friends.

They go to Hawaii for a huge combined family thanksgiving in 2024, where Kaitlyn's mom so generously welcomes 20 of their friends and family over. The future in-laws meet for the first time!

Christian stays an extra day in Hawaii, takes Kaitlyn's mom, sisters, and sweet niece and nephew to breakfast. He tells them he plans to marry Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn's nephew Luca gives his permission :)

They continue to celebrate early Christmas's in Raleigh and love the holiday season together!

In Jan 2025, they ski with Kaitlyn's family in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Christian impresses them, skiing a tough mountain for one of his first trips - and asks Dad for permission to marry Kaitlyn!

February 14th, 2025 Christian proposes to Kaitlyn at the Beatrice Hotel in Providence Rhode Island. He jokes this was last resort for the proposal - you'll have to ask them the story, it's a long one :)

In LaBrie family fashion, everyone played a role on the engagement! Khiara helped with the ring, Andrew and Michelle scoped out the best spots, while Gabrielle and Steph decorated the hotel.

Christian's family helped decorate with dozens of candles for the proposal - they had to move candles around the city of Providence from plan A > plan D!

Christian made the proposal extra special by asking everyone who couldn't be there to write Kaitlyn letters. She cried many, many happy tears reading all the love filled notes.

After the proposal, they have dinner at Cappriccio in Providence, RI, where Christian had asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend 5 years earlier.

Christian's family threw an engagement brunch the day after the proposal. The party was the day of their 5th anniversary, and was straight off of Kaitlyn's Pinterest boards.

2025 is not only the year they got engaged, but also the year ALL their friends get married - they travel all over the US for ~10 weddings 2024-25. They probably spend only ~2 months at home in 2025.

They celebrate Christian's twin Andrew and his beautiful wife Michelle on for a week in June 2025 in Rhode Island. This gets them even more excited for their wedding season!

Kaitlyn starts flying all over to ask her friends and sisters to be her bridesmaids!

They head to California to celebrate their engagement with Kaitlyn's Dad. He hosted a beautiful party in Portola Valley, CA.

They then head down the coast to celebrate with Kaitlyn's mom in Los Gatos, CA, where Kaitlyn grew up.

Finally, they celebrate their engagement with Christian's family in Rhode Island, where Kaitlyn's Dad gets to meet the in-laws for the first time!

Kaitlyn and Christian head to Italy in September 2025 to tour their venue options. Christian's cousins Luca and Melissa tour them around Rome!

They come full circle - making new wishes in the Trevi Fountain together. Christian "proposes" again and Kaitlyn is just as excited the second time :)
