Bride
"She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain" Louisa May Alcott
Groom
And watch: I'll do it with one eye closed.
Mother of the Bride
What can I say, I have the best mom ever! She is always there for me (literally, day and night), and has been my most enthusiastic supporter for my whole life. I love you mom!
Father of the Groom
The older I get, the prouder I become of the ways I take after this man.
Father of the Bride
Ask basically anyone, and they will agree, I have the best Dad in the world. I am so lucky to say that my dad is truly my hero, and my best friend. His unwavering support, love, and guidance have not only made me who I am today, but also helped to shape my expectations for the kind of man I hoped to one day marry. I may soon be a wife, but I'll always be a Daddy's girl!
Mother of the Groom
I see in you all the ways I wish the world were. Thank you mother, for my adventure.
Matron of Honor
Jessie and I may be two years apart in age, but we have always felt that we should have been born twins. Since either of us can remember, we've been a duo, "the girls". We have an uncanny connection, and no one in the world can make me laugh the way she does.
Best Man
My lifelong friend. We do not share blood, but we have shed it together.
Matron of Honor
Christina is the ideal big sister, acting as a sort of second mother since I can remember. She's always stood up for me, believed in me, and been a role model in basically every way.
Groomsman
A true mate to me, of the finest sort.
Groomsman
I have never known so caring and sensitive a pirate.
Bridesmaid
I've actually known Breann since she was born! As cousins, we grew up playing together and always felt a special connection, bonding over books in particular. As adults, we've grown even closer when Breann visited me in Paris several times, including being there for me as I packed up my life and came back to the US for good. I'm so lucky to have this brilliant lady as family, and a friend.
Groomsman
A shaman, all permutations of adroit, who I am thankful to call a friend.
Bridesmaid
Kristin and I met in Paris over ten years ago and over the years, despite quite often living in different countries, have only gotten closer, even literally moving into the same neighborhood to have more time together! I adore this woman and couldn't imagine life without her for even a day.
Groomsman
My kind colleague, with whom I proudly toil.
Bridesmaid
Nayo and I met in a hallway of the Humanities building in the 2005 waiting for our Expatriate Writers in Paris class to start (we were both always early). We immediately connected over literature, a similar sense of humor, and our love of Paris, and we've have been close friends ever since. We even shared an apartment in Paris, our bedrooms separated by a door usually kept open so we could talk anytime day or night. I love this woman like a sister (which she basically is at this point).
Bridesmaid
Niki and I have only known each other a little over a year. We met through a mutual acquaintance, and in the span of one evening, bonded over music, dungeons and dragons, and a general sensation of having met a kindred spirit, we became fast friends, and now I know we'll be friends for always.
Groomsman
I have not known him long, but I long to know him forever.
