Airport Options

The closest major airport is: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Approximately 45–60 minutes from Topanga, depending on traffic. Additional airport options include: Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) – about 30-45 away and often easier to navigate than LAX, but flights can be more expensive. Long Beach Airport (LGB) – about 1 hour 15 minutes away; can be more depending on time of day and traffic. For most guests, LAX will have the most flight options, but BUR can be a great alternative if you find a convenient flight.

Rental Car

Getting Around

For those visiting from out of town, we recommend renting a car if possible, especially since LA hasn't yet meaningfully embraced public transportation. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are available throughout the Los Angeles area, but they can sometimes be limited late at night in the canyon, or take longer to match you to a driver. Parking will be available at the venue.

Hotel

Where to Stay

We have not reserved a hotel room block, but there are many great options in the surrounding areas. Calabasas – The closest residential area to Topanga with several hotels and easy access to the canyon roads. Options include the Anza Hotel, the Cambria Hotel, and the Hilton Garden Inn. Woodland Hills – A conveniently located nearby residential area in the San Fernando Valley with many hotels and restaurants at affordable prices. Options include the Hilton, the Courtyard Marriott, and Best Western. Santa Monica – Great for guests who want to be near the beach and enjoy more of Los Angeles during the weekend. There are several options here from boutique to chains, such as the Shore Hotel, the Huntley, and the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. Malibu – Beautiful coastal hotels and vacation rentals for those looking to stay in more secluded residential areas by the ocean, and close to the venue. Options include the Malibu Beach Inn, the Surfrider Malibu, the Hotel June Malibu, and the Malibu Country Inn. Vacation rentals (Airbnb or VRBO) are also very popular in Topanga canyon and the surrounding area, and can be a great option for larger groups.

Travel Note

Venue Information

Topanga is located in the Santa Monica Mountains between the San Fernando Valley and the Pacific Coast Highway. The wedding venue is located at 1909 North Topanga Canyon Blvd, Topanga, CA, 90290, right next to Cafe on 27. We recommend allowing extra travel time to reach the 1909 before the ceremony, as canyon roads can be winding and traffic can vary in the afternoon.
