Hiking and Activities
We enjoy the outdoors more than the indoors when staying in Vail. Explore the Ford Park and Alpine Gardens which includes a playground, basketball courts, picnic areas, and nature walks. Easy Hike: Gore Creek Trail. Paved walking path that follows the creek through both Vail Village and Lionshead Moderate Hike: Strawberry Lane. 2.60 miles with 688 ft of elevation gain that takes you on the mountain side. Scenic Gondola Rides: $40-60 per person (Children 12 and under ride free with a purchase of an adult ticket. One child per adult) or free on the Epic Pass. Ride Gondola One (Vail Village side) or Eagle Bahn Gondola (Lionshead) from 9:30am-4:00pm daily.
