We both went to Gonzaga and happened to be active members of the Filipino Club. An inquiry about an obscure cartoon sticker on a laptop led to conversation which led to finding about many things we had in common. Over a year and dozens of binged episodes of Steven Universe (among other shows) later, we started dating. At some point Sydney had graduated before Sebastian and we eventually started dating 'long' distance as she had moved back to Seattle. Thank goodness for the internet and many online forms of bonding. We skype'd (RIP) daily and would screen-share each other's shows so we could continue to watch things together even when far apart. We did quite a bit of online gaming as well. Of course whenever we could, we'd visit each other. Even after we'd both graduated we remained long distance due to work. Still then we continued to skype and game and our methods carried us through the distance and even the pandemic. After quarantine, Sydney made the move to Spokane and we continue to watch shows, attend concerts, go to conventions, game, dine, and spend time together. Eventually, we knew we wanted to experience the rest of our lives together.
