Booking A Room & Flight

Please let her know if you wish to fly the same dates and times as Chad and Brooke or if you would like to travel seperate dates. Please let her know which resort you would like to stay at, Barcelo Maya Riviera - Adults Only or Barcelo Maya Beach. When booking you will need: Names as they are on all passports Dates of birth for each traveler Mailing addresses for each traveler Cell phone #s for each traveler Credit card #, expiration date, security code, name on card, and mailing address for each traveler

Passports

Answer

Yes, a passport book is required for all guests to enter Mexico. A passport card will not work as we will be flying into the country. Processing for a new passport book is approximately 8 to 11 weeks. However, I would recommend applying no later than September. The cost for a new passport book is $130 plus any applicable passport fees. For example, there is a $35 Acceptance Facility Fee when applying at your local post office. Local Currency

Answer

Each of the Barcelo Maya Grand Resorts take both USD and pesos. Many tours and stores also take both USD and pesos. There is a peso ATM located at each resort, if needed. If you plan to bring your credit and debit cards, please prepare them for use in Mexico with your bank. There may be a foreign transaction fee with your bank (normally 1-3%) when using a debit or credit card internationally.

Tipping

Tipping is not necessary, but if you choose to tip you may experience better service, such as faster service or more snacks in your room. Tipping examples: $5/bellhop, $1/drink, $5/a la carte meal, $2/mini-fridge stocker, $5/housekeeper, $2/room service, and ect.

Resort Dress Code

Answer

At all of the specialty A la Carte restaurants ONLY there is a formal dress code. Men must wear long pants, closed toe shoes, dress shirts, and no hats. Women can not wear any beachwear.

Wedding Day Dress Code

Answer

The day of the wedding, we ask that you wear Beach Formal. Starting at 5pm, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on the beach, so please consider your outfit and shoe attire with the weather and sand in mind. Example for ladies: a sundress Example for men: a light material button up with khaki shorts NOTE: We are no longer asking guests to wear white. Please wear something with color or a light color!

Room service is available 24 hours. The price per plate is $190 pesos. The value of pesos fluctuates daily, but it runs approximately $8 - $10 per plate USD. If you booked a Premium Level room, room service is free per plate.

Covid-19 Requirements

Entering Meixco: A negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) is not required for entry. Entering the United States: As of June 12, 2022, the CDC no longer requires air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight.
