Groom
Most Likely to say the quiet part outloud ⚠️ Warning: Will probably make a speech that’s way too long, cry halfway through it, then somehow start singing before the night is over.
Best Man
Most Likely to Make You See the Other Side of the Story Curt is my big brother, but honestly has always felt more like a father figure, probably proven by the fact that he accidentally calls me Cyrus sometimes. At this point we all know who his true firstborn is. But that protective instinct has always been who he is at his core. My whole life, he’s just been ahead. Smarter decisions, calmer reactions, more prepared, more responsible. The type of person that makes everybody around him feel safer just by existing. I still remember getting hit by a car as a kid and Curt being more outraged than anybody else around me. He genuinely could not understand anyone who wasn’t matching the level of concern he felt (I'll save that story for my memoir) Another time I broke my toe, and this man basically carried me on his back for blocks to the hospital. Then spent the rest of the day bribing me with snacks to keep me comfortable, which honestly…I take partial offense to now because I’m pretty sure that’s how I ended up fat. ⚠️ Warning: If you come to Curt looking for blind validation, you came to the wrong person. He loves people too much to let them sit in delusion for long. If you’re wrong, he’s going to calmly let you know. He has this way of grounding people without making them feel judged. He sees nuance in situations most people immediately pick sides on, and he’s really good at reminding people there’s usually more to the story than what emotions are telling you in the moment.
Groomsman
Most Likely to Hold It All Together Without Needing Credit Hassan has been my brother since we were 18 years old, and honestly I think we connected so quickly because he reminds me a lot of my actual brother. Same energy, same reliability, same way of showing love without needing attention for it. He’s just solid. The kind of person who doesn’t shake easily. If Hassan says he’s got you, you genuinely stop worrying. Truthfully, a lot of this friend group exists because of him. People naturally gravitated toward him because of the kind of person he is. People just felt comfortable around him. I’ll give myself a little credit too because I definitely kept the group chats alive and emotionally forced everybody to stay connected, but Hassan has always been the glue. What I admire most about him is the way he sees people. He genuinely looks for the good in everyone, sometimes almost to a fault. Being around him makes you want to lead with more patience, more grace, and more understanding. And despite all that depth, some of the hardest laughs of my life are attached to him too. The kind where your stomach hurts and you can’t breathe. He brings ease wherever he goes. He’s also a real-life Mr. Fix-It. Doesn’t matter what’s broken, he’ll figure it out without ever making you feel bad for needing help. ⚠️ Warning: Hassan will absolutely tell you a joke with a completely straight face, never clarify that he’s kidding and leave you believing a lie for an unreasonable amount of time.
Groomsman
Most Likely to Turn a Casual Night Into a Documentary I will say, Reggie basically forced this friendship 😭. Back in college he would casually tell people I was his best friend, and I used to laugh it off because honestly… Reginald can be a little delusional. But after college, we really got to spend more time together outside of the group and more in his natural habitat, and somewhere along the way he genuinely became one of my best friends. We met during the era when the “dancing Haitians” basically had campus in a chokehold, and Reggie was right in the center of the chaos. Loud music, wild stories, random adventures, somehow ending up somewhere at 4am when the original plan was “just one drink.” That’s Reggie. He’s also one of the first people to really start calling me “Sean the Don,” the din-ni-ni-non if you really know, so honestly if you’ve ever used that nickname, blame him. The thing about Reggie is he really lives in the moment. Give him Afrobeats, Amapiano, good energy, and absolutely no responsibilities, and he’s in his natural habitat. Trying to contact him though? Basically impossible. His phone battery has been fighting for its life since 2012. Somewhere between video games, battle rap videos, spontaneous adventures, and pure vibes, Reggie became attached to some of my favorite memories from college and beyond. He genuinely makes life more fun. ⚠️ Warning: Phone dead. Location unknown. Aura unmatched. Please keep him away from your daughters.
Groomsman
Most Likely to Actually Pull Up Julian and I became friends in the realest adult way possible, slowly and naturally, without either of us probably realizing it at first. Back in college, I was way quieter than people know me to be now, and Julian was always one of those people who made being around him feel easy. Never fake hype, never extra, never trying too hard. Just genuinely kind. The type of person who’d dap you up, ask how you’re doing, actually listen, and somehow make even small interactions stick with you. But the biggest thing about Julian? He shows up. If Julian says he’s coming, he’s coming. Every time. And honestly, that means more coming from him because he’s never been the type to do things just because everybody else is doing them. He really marches to the beat of his own drum. Pragmatic, intentional, low-pressure. He’s only going to do what genuinely feels right to him, which makes his presence mean that much more. Over the years, birthdays, events, random life moments, it stopped feeling like “a friend from college” and just became brotherhood. Through moving states, changing careers, becoming a father, and building a beautiful life with his fiancée Vanessa he’s stayed the same thoughtful, dependable person. Him and Vanessa have always welcomed me with so much warmth that being around them just feels easy. Honestly, Julian reminds me that consistency is one of the purest forms of love. ⚠️ Warning: If he RSVP’d yes, you can go ahead and count him in.

Most Likely to Say ‘I’m Pulling Up’ and Keep Us Guessing Yvens came into my life freshman year through Hassan and somehow just became part of the fabric of all of ours after that. Yvens was never enrolled at St. John's but basically attended tution-free. Yvens has never really been the type that needed to party, be in the mix constantly, or chase attention. Even back then, while the rest of us were being loud and chaotic, he always moved differently. Calm, grounded, and completely comfortable doing his own thing. But the funny part is, whenever he was around, his presence was always felt. Some people are loud personalities. Yvens never needed that. He has this quiet confidence and energy that naturally stands out without trying to. You just notice when he’s there. Conversations feel calmer, the vibe feels more complete, everybody’s happy to see him. He was also the first one out of all of us to really step fully into adulthood, husband, father, all of that. Honestly, he’s had old-soul energy since we were like 19 years old, never popped out without his Hatian beret. While the rest of us were making questionable decisions, Yvens was somewhere being responsible and probably making the smartest choice in the room, sleep. And despite not always being the most physically present, the love has never changed. It’s always easy with him. Always genuine. Always like no time passed. ⚠️ Warning: Rare appearance, lasting impact.
Parents of the Groom (KLC)
Mom - Most Likely To: Be there in spirit. Literally. Dad - Most Likely To: Drink one too many, talk one decibel too loud, and provide unsolicited commentary during the speeches. My parents met as teenagers and married young. Growing up, I always thought I would get married at 18 because theirs was my favorite love story. Together, they raised four children while facing more challenges than most people ever will. There were moments of uncertainty, hardship, and struggle, but through every obstacle they chose each other. Again and again. What I remember most isn't the difficulty, it's the perseverance. The determination to keep moving forward, to keep building a life, and to keep loving one another and their children through it all. Looking back, I know our family survived because of the love they shared. My mother may not be here physically to celebrate this day, but her presence is woven into every part of who I am. Their marriage taught me that love isn't about avoiding hardship it's about facing it together. ⚠️ Warning: If you feel a sudden wave of love, hear a perfectly timed song, or notice a little sign when you need it most, that might just be Sean's mom checking in on the celebration. If you hear laughter coming from across the room, there's a good chance Sean's dad is responsible. Proceed with caution, he has never met a stranger and will probably know your life story by the end of the night.
Bride
Most Likely to Need a Nap Before the Function ⚠️ Warning: High energy in person, low battery immediately afterward. Please allow 1–3 business days for text responses.
Maid of Honor
Most Likely to Fall in Love at First Sight & Say “Never Mind” After the First Date My little sister. My built-in best friend. Growing up, our tiny age gap felt miles apart, which meant we spent much of our childhood doing what sisters do best: competing, arguing & stealing each other’s clothes, but always defending each other. She always had a way of being my greatest source of chaos & my greatest comfort. As we’ve grown older, that gap disappeared, & what remained is one of the most important relationships of my life. Nayomi is my confidant, my reality check & the person who knows every version of me. She is spontaneous where I am practical, whimsical where I am cautious, & somehow manages to convince me to loosen up while I spend my time trying to convince her to think things through. It’s a balance that has worked surprisingly well for decades. Nayomi leads with compassion, optimism, & an openness that I deeply admire. She is outgoing, loving, introspective, & constantly evolving. Watching her grow into the woman she is today has been one of my greatest joys. We grew up playing basketball, & honestly, our relationship has always felt like the game itself. We’ve competed, we’ve argued calls, we’ve thrown a few metaphorical elbows, & we’ve always shown up for each other when it mattered most. Nayomi is my heart outside of my body. She has protected me, challenged me, humbled me, & loved me through every season of life. I could not imagine standing here without her beside me
Bridesmaid
Most Likely to Want to Keep the Party Going Meron is my younger cousin and she is as multifaceted as the diamond in our picture. My earliest and most fondest memories were spending weekends in Garden Grove with her and her brother, playing video games and just generally being carefree kids. As we've grown older, she has changed from my little cousin to great friend. She is always a good time, keeps me feeling young and will always rally to keep the night going. On the surface, she presents like a woman who loves to be social, have fun, and live life to the fullest. However, she is so much more than that. She is incredibly kind, brilliant, generous, and always there for you when you need her. She has a large friend group that only rivals her brother's and if you knew Solomon, you'd know that isn't an easy feat. Despite having all these friends, she has always been present and available for the every important moment in everyone's lives, from graduations to marriages to births. Just know that all this amazingness comes at a price and that price is caffeine. You going to need it because it's going to be a long night.
Bridesmaid
Most Likely To Smell Good And Influence You To Do The Same Jovanna and I met while doing Clinical Research for healthcare exposure after college. We commiserated about our Study Coordinator who was a chatterbox and would always make goodbyes drag on for 45 minutes. When I transitioned to another job in the same facility, we would always have lunch together and when we were taking the MCAT, we would study together. Jovanna is my bougiest friend and is the reason for my perfume addiction (my wallet hates the day she came into my life lol). She reminds me of the importance of taking time out for myself which is something I deeply struggle with. She is the type of friend who is patient and generous with her time and even though our schedules don't align currently, with her working the afternoon shift and me working the overnight shift, she always makes an effort to reach out which I am immensely grateful for. Whenever we hang out together, we always try to make it an all day affair because our schedules don't always align and it may be weeks before we see each other again. Every time I see her, the best word to describe the way I feel is rejuvenated and she feeds my soul in a way I never knew I needed.
Bridesmaid
Most Likely to turn Small Talk into Soul Talk Diana and I met at work and the way she tells it, she was determined to be my friend. She has always been someone who sees my best parts, even when it was hard for me to see them myself. We had a 6 am start time and everyone who knows me knows that I love my sleep and have never been a morning person. She saw through my gruff cranky morning self and still decided I was someone worth getting to know better. She has always been incredibly kind and thoughtful and loyal, but will also tell you when you're wrong and invite you to do the same for her. She is incredibly charming and whenever we are out together, she is a magnetic force and people gravitate towards her warm spirit and inviting nature. She treats strangers like old friends and friends like family. She is type of friend who no matter the time of day or what she is doing, will drop everything to be there for you. We've worked together, traveled together, and spent hours doing nothing and I've valued her friendship for every second of it.
Bridesmaid
Most Likely To Tell You that You Deserve Better As She Fixes The Thing In Your Apt You've Been Asking Your BF To Fix For Weeks Sacha is another one of my high school friends and we have both changed so much since that period in our lives. We played basketball together and would spend time during class talking and occasionally paying attention to our teacher. Sacha was and still is extremely funny and on the surface, was a class clown. She was the person always searching for a laugh, perhaps as a way to build connection. While I'm not sure that I knew it then, I now am well aware there is much more to Sacha than meets the eye. She is exceptionally brilliant, far beyond what she lets on. She has had the courage to change careers in adulthood, while most would just trudge along, resigned to their fates. She is incredibly successful in an extremely male-dominated field and has the respect of her coworkers, not because she demands it by her title, but because she treats people with kindness and dignity. Being Sacha's friend is easy but don't let that ease fool you. She is insightful and, similar to me, her face will often tell you how she really feels before her words do. When I think about Sacha, the most overwhelming feeling I have is pride. I am proud to be her friend, proud to have seen the woman she has become from that tall, hilarious and unserious girl in high school, and proud to have been able to stand with her as a bridesmaid at her wedding to Connolly.
Bridesmaid
Most Likely to Fix All Your Problems in Nordstrom Shopping Trip Connolly and I have been friends since I was 14 and during freshman orientation, we were seated next to each other due to our last names. I specifically remember her being funny, friendly and incredibly open, which at the time, I thought was due to the fact that neither of us were from the feeder grade/middle schools that a lot of people came from. Over the years, I came to realize that my first interaction with her had nothing to do with her apprehensiveness over a new environment. She is insightful, brilliant, kind, thoughtful, and always able to see the best parts of me while also quietly acknowledging that you are an unfinished work of art, beautiful in my imperfections and cracks. She accepts me for the person I am, not the person I am becoming, have been or think I am and she sees me as though she has known me through many lifetimes. My only regret in life is not becoming more close to Connolly in high school; while Connolly and I have always been friendly, her and I didn't become close friends until we were well into our 20's. When I think of Connolly, I am reminded of light. She illuminates and warms your soul in a way that you didn't know was necessary and I am so lucky to have her with me as I start this new journey.
Bridesmaid
Most Likely to Be Moonlighting As a Romantic Novelist While Her Secret Husband is Taking Care of the Kids By the time this wedding rolls around, I will have known Savannah for half of my life. That means she has seen me at my most immature (high school) and my most mature and current version of myself. Being friends for all these years means we have seen and gone through many formative experiences together. Our first relationships, where Savannah would often cover for me hanging out with my boyfriend. Our first fight, which was severe enough to halt our friendship for a year. Our first experiences living in another city, away from the home we knew. As evidenced by the experiences shared above, Savannah has always been there for me. Even now, although we are separated by thousands of miles and our lives have changed, I know that if I picked up the phone, I could talk to Savannah about anything. She has always been wise beyond her years, a trait that has been consistent even while she was in high school. She often gives amazing advice or is just there to lend an ear while venting. She gives herself wholly to her friendships and with an attentive approach, quietly taking it all in so that when she does speak, it is profoundly impactful.
Parents of the Bride
Mom - Most likely to sign her texts, from Mom. Dad- Most likely to start a community garden from his backyard. I almost didn't exist if it wasn't for the bravery of my parents excursion to a new life, starting from scratch, immigrating from a war ridden Eritrea to sunny California where their loved blossomed and they were later blessed with me. My parents are the epitome of devotion when it comes to themselves and their children. They worked hard to provide for us and started their lives from nothing, building it into something that we all are in awe of. They have taught me to be proud of where I come from and grateful for where I am. Their focus as parents was to provide the best while also ensuring that the adult we became were ones that we could be proud of.
