Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Sandy Ruiz and Sean Webb
If you have a chance to explore, here are some of our favorite places in and around Seattle.

Pike Place Market

Seattle, WA

Home of the famous fish throwing and gum wall, Pike Place is a great place to explore! You can grab a bite from one of the many restaurants or market vendors, get a view of the Puget Sound on a nice day, and visit the original Starbucks (be ready to wait in a long line, though). Don't miss trying Chukar Cherries or Beecher's cheese!

Starbucks Reserve Roastery

Try a fancy latte at this hometown coffee shop ;) There are a couple of Roastery locations - one in the Capitol Hill neighborhood (keep in mind that parking is challenging here) or pop over to the Starbucks headquarters in Sodo.

SODO Urbanworks

There are ten wine tasting rooms, as well as the San Juan Seltzery Taproom (yes, it serves hard seltzer on tap) and Nine Hats Pizza. This is a great urban option if you're wanting to stay in the city!

Woodinville

One of our favorite places to go wine tasting and only about a 30-40 minute drive Northeast of Seattle. If you're wanting to venture out, we love Woodinville! There are many, many tasting rooms as well as a handful of restaurants. Sean is a member at Pepperbridge (they have an excellent cab sauv) but you really can't go wrong! We would recommend exploring the Hollywood District to get the true Woodinville experience!

Ballard

One of our favorite Seattle neighborhoods (and our current home!) Check out Golden Gardens Park for a lovely view of the Puget Sound and Olympic mountain range, or explore the Ballard Locks. Don't miss a stroll down Ballard Ave. for lots of dining and shopping options (order the Turkish Eggs at Sabine for breakfast and you won't regret it), or head over on Sunday morning for a great farmer's market! Ballard also has a thriving brewery district - we love the Balebreaker/Yonder Cider taproom!

Fremont

Another favorite Seattle neighborhood, check out the quirky Fremont that touts itself as the "Center of the Universe." You can head over to Gas Works Park for a great view of downtown and Lake Union, or grab a bite to eat (Sean and I had our first date at Red Star Taco Bar).

Hiking

Depending on how much time you're spending in Washington (and whether you have a rental car), there are many great hikes within an hour of Seattle! Some of our favorites: Rattlesnake Ledge, Little Si, Poo Poo Point, and Twin Falls.
