Sean + Maddie met at a mutual friend's apartment and became a part of the same friend group junior year of college. After getting to know each other as friends, when they returned for their senior year at Penn State, Sean asked Maddie to come over to watch a movie + they have been inseparable from that day forward!

Sean + Maddie took a weekend trip to Charleston to start looking at apartments. It was an uncharacteristically cold and rainy Saturday in Charleston, and after viewing apartments all day, they were headed to check out "one last place" before dinner. As Sean opened the gate to the "guest house" they were scoping out, there were candles and flower petals lining the path to the house, as one of their favorite songs "Late to the Fire" by Sam Burchfield, played in the background. As they walked down the path, there was a beautiful patio decorated with more candles and flower petals, where Sean then got down on one knee and proposed. It was a real-life romantic movie scene, rain and all! We're both so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you all, back where Maddie said "YES," where this time we'll say "I Do."
