For those flying internationally, expect to take 2-3 flights to get there. Since the journey can be long and tiresome, we suggest you stay at a hotel (of which many offer shuttle services to/from airport) in Manila close to NAIA (Manila) airport for a night of rest before you travel the next day to to El Nido. If you choose to travel directly from Manila to El Nido, make sure to have 5-6 hours between your arrival in Manila and departure from Manila to El Nido as a precaution for any delays and transfers between terminals. Most international flights will arrive at either Terminal 1, 2, or 3 at NAIA airport. Flights from Manila to El Nido are now located in Terminal 2**.

Travel Note

NOTE: Airs Swift operates under Cebu Pacific and has changed to terminal 2** (no longer terminal 4)

Shuttle bus: There is a free shuttle bus between terminals, however, they tend to be a bit unreliable, only come every hour, and are over-crowded. For more information, see the following link: https://hellomanilaairport.com/manila-airport-terminal-transfer-bus/ Taxi/Grab: We recommend taking a metered taxi or Grab. Grab is the equivalent of Uber in the Philippines. Make sure to download the app. The Grab app should be available in both the US and UK app stores.

Flight

Air Swift: El Nido

Air Swift is the only airline that flies in and out of El Nido directly. The flight from Manila to El Nido is approximately 1.5 hours. Make sure to book these flights in advance as there are only a few flights that go in and out of the island per day!

Hotel

Isla Amara Boutique Resort

Beach Lio, El Nido, MIMAROPA 5313, Philippines

We recommend our guests to stay at Isla Amara Boutique Resort. Lila has stayed at this hotel before and absolutely loved it! It is situated next to the picturesque Lio beach offering delicious food, various beach activities, and beautiful sunsets.

Hotel

Spin Designer Hostel

cor Calle Real, El Nido, MIMAROPA 5313, Philippines

For our guests on more of a budget, we recommend staying at Spin hostel. When Lila came to El Nido 8 years ago, this is the first place she stayed. Spin hostel is situated in the main town which offers various food options, nightlife, shops and more!

Travel Note

Public Transport and Shuttle

The main form of public transport in El Nido is tricycle. You can easily hale them down on the streets and at the airport if your accommodation does not already offer a transfer service. Alternatively, many tourists like to hire a scooter/moped to get around the island. Though please be careful as getting to some of the more secluded attractions are dirt and unpaved roads! *On the day of the wedding, please note that there will be a shuttle service to the venue. Pick up locations to be determined, though most likely pick up points will be in either Lio Beach or main El Nido Town, so make sure to check back here later!

Travel Note

Other Accomodation

Aside from the above accommodation, we recommend staying at any of the hotels in Lio Beach, Nacpan beach, or in the main El Nido Town.
