We met in what now feels like the most old-fashioned way in today’s world — in person, at a bar! Back in 2019, we both showed up at a mutual friend’s birthday party in Brooklyn. The line for drinks was endless, so we started chatting while we waited. As the conversation unfolded, we quickly realized we lived just blocks away in Hell’s Kitchen, worked in the same industry, and even had birthdays six days apart (Gemini twins, naturally). It felt like the universe had a hand in it — a perfectly timed encounter we never could have planned, but one that changed everything. Fast forward six years, and we’ve now spent many wonderful years living together in Gramercy — the same neighborhood where Sean proposed. We still laugh about how we found each other in Brooklyn of all places, especially since we’re such die-hard Manhattan people. Of all the moments and all the lives in New York City, we’re thankful ours collided that night and culminates in this moment where we can celebrate with all of you on our wedding night in Lisbon.
