Sean and Ali are actively downsizing in preparation for life on the road. Ali is fulfilling her dream of travel nursing full time in the West Coast and South West. We will be living in a travel trailer for the next 5 years (at least). Because of this, we are asking for donations to our cash fund instead of traditional housewares. You can find this information on the registry tab.
There is no formal dress code. We ask you make sure you are comfortable and ready for the weather. It can be hot and muggy this time of year, and the venue is exposed to the elements. There are sheltered tents and porches but largely the evening will be outside. We suggest lightweight materials, flat shoes or sandals, and light colors to beat the heat, and a sweater just in case its a rainy day. Our colors are any shade of green if you're feeling it- but that is not required. As someone who has shown up to a wedding wearing scrubs- know you will be welcomed no matter what you wear.
Absolutely. We both come from big families with lots of kids. Most of our friends have kids. In my bridal party, I'm literally the only one without kids. Family from out of state wouldn't be able to come if they didn't bring their kids. We are doing our best to incorporate activities and decor that are kid friendly as well. Please know your kids are welcome. With that said Please just make sure they are on the RSVP form.
We cannot set up for our event until the venue has closed to the public at 5pm. There will be lots of hustle and bustle during that time. The ceremony itself is at 6pm. In order to be there and seated for the ceremony we are asking for guests to arrive between 5:30 and 5:45pm on the back lawn.
We ask you to let us know ASAP if your plus one's have changed. We will try to accommodate if we can. However, final lists for food and bar are needed one month prior to the event. We understand things happen and plans change, but please keep us updated so we can adjust estimates and contracts accordingly.
We are catering with P.I.G.S. BBQ! We wanted to go with a crowd pleasing menu. There will be pulled pork, smoked chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw, BBQ beans, jalapeno corn bread, dinner rolls, and of course, 5 different BBQ sauces!
