COVID-19 Questions & Updates

Everyone's health and safety is at the forefront of our minds as we continue moving forward with our wedding plans. We are all living in times of great uncertainty, so please keep an eye on this page for updates and information on everything we are working on with our venue to make this a safe, special and unique celebration.
Question

Covid waiver and temp checks?

Answer

When you arrive on the property you will be given a Covid waiver and will have your temperature taken by a member of the CLE staff. There is nothing you need to complete prior to your arrival. This should go without saying, but if for any reason you feel unwell in the days leading up to our wedding please let us know and we would love to have you join us virtually! Note: if your temp is above 100 degrees you will not be admitted onto the property.

Question

Can you tell me a bit more about Cedar Lakes Estate?

Answer

With 500 acres of expansive private land and individual luxury guest cottages, Cedar Lakes can confidently offer clean, safe, private rooms for those guests staying on the property. They have ramped up their already stringent cleanliness protocols to ensure the sanitation of each of the guest rooms and the property in its entirety. Question

More on the stringent cleanliness protocols please!

Answer

All accommodations will be cleaned and disinfected using their standard product (Chemical-HWS-64) that meets the EPA criteria for use against SARS-COV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. In addition, CLE will be conducting Accommodation Fogging which allows sanitizing chemicals to enter small seams and gaps that hand cleaning simply cannot accomplish. "Sanitizing baskets" will be placed in each cabin upon arrival which will include hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, gloves and masks. Decorative pillows, minibar products and all non washable items will be removed from all rooms. Hand sanitizer will be available all around the property.

Question

How about the food services, what are the increased safety measures there?

Answer

All indoor and outdoor tables with seating for guests must be separated by a minimum of 6 ft. in all directions. Employees must wear masks at all times. Guests must wear face coverings while walking around, they may remove their masks once they are seated. Markers are placed on the floor to let guests know where to stand in line with 6 ft. of distance between groups. Employees must wear masks and gloves when handling any prepared food and/or clearing any dishes. All food at any buffet stations will be set up behind a plexiglass partition and served by an employee wearing gloves and a mask. Serving utensils will be switched out and sanitized every 20 minutes.

Question

What extra safety measures are the employees taking?

Answer

A limited staff is being maintained to perform the essential operations. Face coverings will be worn at all times. Employees will receive comprehensive training on policies and procedures and will be held accountable for additional training as updates to guidelines are made. They will have their temperature taken at the beginning of their shift by an authorized screener and will complete a Symptom Checklist (daily) and a COVID-19 Questionnaire (weekly). If an employee has any COVID-19 symptoms or has been in contact with an individual that has tested positive for COVID-19, they will not be permitted on the premises.

Question

What can we, as guests do to take additional precautions?

Answer

Wear a mask when interacting with any employees and/or other guests. Maintain a minimum distance of 6 ft. between any employee and/or other guests. Practice frequent hand washing and sanitizing. In addition, confirm that you have not been in contact with anyone that has been sick with COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks. We will also be providing social bands to each of our guests. These are red, yellow or green bracelets you may wear in order to make it apparent to others what level of social distancing you are practicing. You can read more about them here: https://www.socialbandbands.com/

Question

How are you going to have a ceremony and reception that allow for social distancing? You know weddings are close/intimate events, right?!

Answer

We are hard at work adjusting our plans and brainstorming all of the ways we can make our celebration happen in a safe and socially distant way. Our ceremony will take place outdoors. Every guest will have assigned seating with their family or group and benches will be placed with plenty of space between them. Our "cocktail hour and reception" will likely look different than those you have attended in the past and we will be keeping as much outdoors as we are able to. Our reception may be spread out over a few different spots on the property in order to limit group size and allow for plenty of space for everyone! We are still ironing out all of these details but we wanted to give you a glimpse into how we are adjusting our plans to ensure everyone's safety!
