Arriving via rental car

This option is ideal and economical for those traveling in small groups. A bit of guidance from the locals: - Choosing your airport: Closest options include Seattle, Everett, Bellingham, and Vancouver, Canada. Seattle usually has the most and cheapest selection of flights. Everett and Bellingham offer options closer to Anacortes. Canada is currently closed to non-essential travel. - Note the time. It takes 4-5 hours to travel from Seattle airport to Eastsound, Orcas Island. - See the Ferry section for information about the car ferry, which will transport you to/from Anacortes (mainland) and Orcas Island.

Arriving via shuttle

This option may be for you if you're traveling alone / as a small party or unable to rent a car. Consider flying to Seattle airport, and booking a shuttle direct to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal (FRY) with Bellair (Click VIEW below for info). From there, you can ride the ferry as a walk-on passenger to Orcas Island (information also below). As a walk-on, you won't need a reservation. For travel once you arrive on the island, check out the on-island shuttle also listed. If you're arriving as a walk-on and troubled about transit, please let us know directly so we can help your arrival go smoothly! *** the Bellair website has a glitch for round-trip tickets back from the San Juan Ferry terminal. This can be resolved by booking over the phone or booking one-ways online. We've hired a professional shuttle for guests on the island after the ceremony through the end of the reception.

Arriving via Kenmore Air

Check into Kenmore for flights from Seattle to Orcas Island via seaplane! This isn't the cheapest option by any stretch ($300+), but it is the quickest and fun just to know it's possible!

Ferry Information

We cannot emphasize this enough: if you are taking a car on the ferry, we recommend you make a vehicle reservation in advance. Standby is nerve-racking when flights and a wedding hang in the mix. Reservations open as follows: 30% March 9 30% Two weeks prior to date, ie. Fri. July 2 / Fri. July 3 7am Pacific / 9am Central 30% Two days prior to date, ie. Wed. July 14 / Thurs. July 15 at 7am Pacific / 9am Central 10% Drive-up, for emergency / standby - The ferry ride is a little over an hour. Bathrooms, a café, and occasional marine life sightings are provided. - Cars + driver cost $48 round trip, passengers cost $15 round trip. - You will be asked to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to sailing time. - Options for arrival include Friday sailings and Saturday morning sailings. - Options for departure include late Saturday night, Sunday, and beyond. - Click VIEW below to see the sailing timetable.

Ferry Reservations

Once you've reviewed the timetable, connect to make your ferry reservation via the link below. Or, call 206-464-6400. You are allotted one change to your reservation once it is made. If your sailing time is unavailable, be assured: only 30% of available spaces have been released. Have patience, set a reminder on your phone, and check back at 7am Pacific/9am Central on Friday / Saturday, July 2 / 3. There are plenty of spots between you and the standby line! (Another 30% will be released two days prior to sailing.)

Bellair Airporter Shuttle

Round trip rates from SEATAC (Seattle airport) to Anacortes Ferry Terminal are $85. The shuttle runs every 1-2 hours and accommodates flights from the wee hours of the morning to the latest arrivals at night. One-way tickets available as well.

On-Island Shuttle

Planning to walk on to the ferry, and anxious about getting around once you’re on the island? Orcas Shuttle has you covered. They’ll be running a looped route around the island all day every day this summer. The schedule aligns with ferry times. No reservation needed. Rides are $18 each, veterans ride free with ID. We are hiring a professional, Kraig, for transit services for pickups before the Indian Ceremonies, to and from the church, and from 8pm to the end of the night. Drive safe - or ride with Kraig! If you plan to ride, kindly reserve lodging within 10 minutes of Eastsound the night of the wedding.
