The Wedding Website of Michelle Gautier and Scott Silvers
The Kailua-Kona airport (KOA) is the most convenient to fly into for the wedding. We recommend staying in the Waikoloa area (from Waikoloa Village to Waikoloa Resort to Kawaihae). This is where most of us live and where most activities will be. There are numerous hotels available. If you are interested, let me know and I can see about getting a block of rooms. Otherwise, there are numerous VRBOs and AirBnBs in these areas too. ***Please note: If you've never been here and are arriving during daylight, the drive from the airport to Waikoloa is pretty much all lava field. Some people experience 'rock shock' as that is not what they picture as 'Hawaii'. Please know there are tons of beautiful green lush areas, beaches, waterfalls, etc on this island too. There are 8 of the 13 different climate zones on this island so it is very diverse. For the nights of 4/10 and 4/11, we have reserved all 68 campsites at Spencers. Anyone that would like to stay and camp is welcome!
