FAQs

Question

What if I'm feeling sick? Or have had high exposure to someone sick?

Answer

If you have symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, congestion, body aches, etc.) please take a COVID test! If negative, we still encourage wearing a mask to our wedding. If positive, PLEASE STAY HOME! Though we'll miss you, as healthcare workers we value the health and well-being of everybody more than anything! We'll be sure to share photos. Please do not be the person that puts others' health at risk. Attending our wedding is not worth it. If you've had high exposure, we also encourage you to take a test day of, just to be safe.

Question

Can I bring another guest?

Answer

No, only those who have been very explicitly invited by name may come to the reception. If you have any concerns, please speak to either Scott or Ashlee.

Question

Is there parking at St. Augustine Church?

Answer

Yes. The church has a parking lot directly to its side and a bigger lot directly behind it.

Question

Is there parking at The Great Room at Historic Savage Mill?

Answer

Yes, there is a "Little" parking lot at Historic Savage Mill. However, more spots are at the West "Big" parking lot, a few minutes walk from the entrance. We recommend you park there. For those that are being dropped off, we recommend you enter through the "atrium". A map and directions are found here: https://www.savagemill.com/directions/

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that everyone avoid wearing any white. Other than that one rule, it's up to you! The ceremony is a Catholic mass in a church, so keep this in mind if you plan to attend the ceremony. Otherwise, whatever you feel confident in!

Question

What kind of dancing will there be?

Answer

As we bring our two cultures together, a big part of the Latin American culture is dancing! Our classic party dances include Bachata, Cumbia, and Merengue. Expect these to make an appearance on the dance floor. Whether you practice beforehand or decide to wing it day of, don't worry Ashlee and her family will make sure to lead by example!

Question

Will there be alcohol? Can I bring alcohol?

Answer

No, this is an alcohol-free wedding. We will not serve and will not allow alcohol in.
