What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Great question! Our wedding has a formal dress code, which generally includes a jacket and tie, a suit, a pantsuit, or an elegant dress. Guests are welcome to wear tuxes or gowns if they'd like, but it's definitely not required.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception are both taking place at the Penthouse of the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. The address is: 71 E Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Chicago's climate is unpredictable, but we expect cool weather. Historically, mid-October temperatures range between low 60s and low 50s, with a 25% chance of rain.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be outdoors on the hotel's rooftop patio. Our reception will be indoors, in the penthouse ballroom. In the event of rain, both ceremony and reception will be held in the ballroom.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30, so we recommend arriving about 30 minutes beforehand.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Our RSVP deadline is Sept 16th. Please return the RSVP card included in your invitation via mail.

Will there be any vegan/ vegetarian/ gluten free/ special diet options?

Answer

Our reception dinner will be served family style and will consist of a selection of Bulgarian meat, fish and vegetable dishes. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions by emailing us at hello@scottandveronika.com

What precautions will be taken against the spread of COVID-19?

Answer

You all are the people we care most about in the world, and keeping everyone safe and healthy is our absolute priority. We’re closely monitoring new developments and will adhere to all CDC guidelines. For the health and safety of everyone, we require all medically eligible guests to be fully vaccinated. As we get closer to our date, we'll let everyone know of any adjustments to our safety plan by email.
