Hotel
We have booked the entire hotel for our wedding weekend, with the cost structure below. 250 EUR per person, payable via Stripe link on "View". Be sure to select the quantity tab according to your party size. This covers all three nights of accommodations. Majority of food and drinks will be provided throughout the weekend with the exception of a few lunches and any extra drinks during the day.
Flight
FCO is the closest airport to our venue and is 100 miles southwest of Todi. There's multiple methods to get to the venue. Please keep the following in mind as you choose your method of transportation: - Once you get to the property, you will not need a car. - There is free onsite parking at Hotel Bramante, and free local buses or a 15min walk to/from the main town square. - The nearest train stop is in Terni, and is a 40min drive to Todi. Please see the options for train vs. rental car highlighted below.
Travel Note
We understand that flights to Italy can be expensive and time consuming - please do not hesitate to reach out to Scott for help with plane tickets, whether cash or points/miles. We highly recommend starting with Google Flights (https://www.google.com/travel/flights). We do NOT recommend using 3rd party sites like Expedia or Kayak as they make managing your reservation significantly more complicated and do not offer any discounts. Additionally, we highly recommend using credit card or airline points/miles to get to/from Italy. If you have a preferred airline you have points/miles with (United MileagePlus, Delta SkyMiles, AAdvantage), use their "award calendar" on their website to see what flights are available for what cost. Rental Car
- Todi is a little under a 2 hour drive from the airport or downtown Rome. - You do need an international drivers license to rent in Italy, which is $25 and can be purchased at a AAA branch. Linked: https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html - Rental cars are anywhere from $50-70 per day depending on size, transmission, etc. We recommend using Sixt, Hertz, Avis, or Europcar directly. We do NOT recommend using a third party site (Expedia, Kayak, etc, as cheapest rates are always found direct). -Automatic cars are available, but they are limited and often more expensive, so reserve early if you prefer one. Driving in Italy is straightforward once you're out of the city, and GPS or Google Maps works well for navigating the countryside. -You can either rent your car from the Rome airport or a variety of locations around the city including Rome Termini.
Train
Book with TrenItalia. We do NOT reccomend using a 3rd party booking site. - The closest station to Todi is Terni, which is a 30- 40min drive. - The train to Terni is a regional train from downtown Rome (60min ride, departing every 20-60mins). - If you are coming from FCO, you need to take a regional train into Rome (45min ride, departing every 20mins) before transferring to the regional train. - It costs $10 - $25 per person. - If you are taking the train, we will coordinate with the hotel to have a shuttle bus pickup guests or taxis if needed. Please note this may require some wait time and is an estimated $15-20 per person per way. - Uber / Taxi from Terni to the hotel do not exist so we heavily advise taking the train with a group and coordinating with us to get the shuttle bus or taxi.
Travel Note
You will need a valid passport to travel to Italy. Your passport also cannot expire within 6 months of the date of travel (May 2027). Allow at least 2 months if you need passport renewal. You will also need an Italian Visa at ETIAS.com. This is a new requirement that is set to go into effect as late 2026. We will send updates on this closer to the wedding.
