Hilton Head Island Airport, Airport Code: HHH. The closest airport, directly on the island, but also the smallest. This airport mainly offers connections from Charlotte.

Savannah

Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport, Airport Code: SAV. The largest of the surrounding airports, Savannah is an easy one hour drive from Hilton Head. Car rentals are available at the airport, but if you do not wish to rent a car, Uber and Lyft are available to take you to and from SAV and Hilton Head.

You can rent (or return) a car at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) or Hilton Head Airport (HHH) from Avis, Budget, Hertz, Enterprise, Alamo, National, and more. While it can be convenient to have use of a car, Hilton Head is easily explored via bike or the Palmetto Breeze trolley. The Sea Pines Resort

For a condo or home rental, we recommend booking through The Sea Pines Resort. They offer resort amenities in the area where we are staying with our families. They have homes ranging in size from 1 bedroom to 10 bedrooms, as well as pools, golf courses, restaurants, discounts on bike rentals and Sea Pines restaurants, and other amenities. They also offer excellent vacation packages and special rates!

We have reserved a block of rooms at this new hotel right in Coligny, which has easy access to the whole island. We toured the hotel and rooms and they are absolutely beautiful, and in a super convenient location right outside the gates to Sea Pines. There is a roof deck and bar you can see the beach from, and the hotel is located right next to Coligny Plaza with many bars and restaurants. On the other side of Coligny Plaza is Coligny Beach, a public beach access point.

Travel Note

Palmetto Breeze Trolley

The Palmetto Breeze Trolley is a public transportation option on Hilton Head. Service runs beginning at 1 p.m., and will reach every stop approximately every 30 minutes, ending the day at 10:30 p.m. (Sundays through Thursdays) and 12:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The fare to ride The Breeze is $1 per person, per trip, regardless of destination. More information, including the route maps, available on their website.
