Scott and Giselle had seen each other at friends’ gatherings, but never got to know each other until they ended up stranded together. A mutual friend was flying into town that night. But due to delays, Giselle and Scott ended up at Capital Hill Cider with a few hours to spend with each other. Over the course of the evening, playing Shuffle Board and listening to Spanish Jazz, they both hoped it wouldn’t be their last evening together. Fast forward two weeks, Scott worked up the courage to ask out this beautiful woman (this is Scott writing ;) ). They spent an evening over pizza, hot fudge, live music, and a walk through Seattle’s iconic Kerry Park. Their date lasted long into the night as they sat on a bench delaying the inevitable fact that they’d have to leave each other soon. Fast forward six months and Scott knows this girl is special. But she’s so passionate about the world, she’s not gonna make it easy. So, when she packs up for a summer in France and the UK, he decides to follow her. After all, it’s hard to plan a bad date underneath the Eifel Tower or roaming the streets of London. After a week of seeing the world through her eyes, he knows he can’t go back. A year later, when Giselle is finally back from studying abroad, it’s only a matter of time. They know that if they can maintain a young relationship, even while worlds apart, then it’s time to start a world of their own. We don’t know where the future will take us and we don’t know how we’ll get there. But we know that this adventure is something we want to be on together. So we hope that you’ll join us as we take this jump together. Surrounded by family, friends, and the love of the Lord, we can’t wait to begin our own story together. We hope to see you there!
