Glen Bell
Best Man
Glen is the veteran of the friend circle, and Scott’s best man. They met during their university years while working at the infamous House of Fraser! Over the past eight years, they have become best friends. Even though Glen has progressively stopped drinking beer, watching football, and having fun - the main things they bonded over in the first place tbh. But Glen's a great guy and a great friend. He loves his dogs, a good cup of tea, and a weekly moan on Twitter. He’ll be sure to bring the Nice biscuits to Florida, that’s for sure. We’re also hoping he will double up as the pool boy for the trip. Please introduce yourself to Glen and ask him why we call him Teddy. He’ll have fun explaining that one.
Sasha English
Matron of Honor
Sasha Fierce, to be Quinn, and currently English, will be the Matron of Honour at our wedding. Sasha’s been Emma’s best friend since First Year in BRA. They’ve gone through all of the awkward stages together between outfits, hairstyles & boys. Thankfully those days are in the past & they now share their friendship with the loves of their lives, Hugo & Nala... I mean Scott & Ciaran. If you can’t locate either of them in Florida, they’re either in Panda Express or Krispy Kreme. Sasha’s been part of the Daly family for years & is arguably liked better than James. Sorry James. Sasha’s one of the most honest, kind, and caring people we both know and will make the perfect Matron of Honour for our big day.
Ciaran Quinn
Groomsman
Ciaran’s been a best friend of Scott since they were fourteen & wearing overpriced pink polo shirts. Their friendship has developed significantly over the years throughout BRA, university & into their adult lives. Much credit goes out to Ciaran for having the hots for Sasha English, which ultimately led to Emma being invited to the university parties, where Scott finally asked Emma out. Ciaran’s a great guy who always has your back. In contrast to Teddy, Ciaran’s the main man for a beer in Florida & will definitely be up for discussing football now Liverpool have won the league. Ciaran is currently engaged to the lovely Sasha English, Emma’s Matron of Honour-to-be. They’ll tie the knot in 2021 & will hopefully be able to offer up some tips for sticking each other in marriage.
Megan McCarthy
Bridesmaid
Megan’s been a great friend to Emma & Scott for years. She met the bride & groom during their uni years working at HOF. Our friendship with Megan has grown over the years through her role as the queen of a chinese & board game night! Megan’s job as a specialist Epilepsy nurse reflects her personality as an always caring, dedicated friend who always puts 110% into every event! We predict nothing less in Florida. Outside of work, Megan cares for her man, Glen. She really deserves a medal for the hours she puts in. Megan’s love for Disney will definitely shine through in Florida. She’ll be the milk bottle in front of the castle with the mickey ears! She’ll most likely be our unofficial photographer & with her Insta influencer experience, she’ll def blow up our hashtag #Emma&ScottTieTheKnot.
James Daly
Groomsman
James is Emma’s younger brother and Scott’s groomsman for the wedding. Scott & James actually knew each other at BRA before Scott met Emma. James was a happy-go-lucky 1st year who would get up to all sorts on the bus on the way home - Scott even had to ask him to sit with him a few times so he wouldn’t distract the bus driver by discussing their love of football. This gesture definitely repaid itself when Scott met Emma’s family for the first time by James demanding Barbara to ‘be nice, Scott’s sound’. James is a brother to us both now & would give you his last penny if you asked him. James knows Florida like the back of his hand so please feel free to ask him for any food/park ride recommendations. He’ll also act as our first aider on the trip due to his new job as an Ambulance EMT!
June Kelly
Mother of the Groom
June is Scott’s Mother Goose. She is always there for Scott & Emma. Even though Scott is an only child, Emma is basically her favourite one. To be honest, she probably gets Emma more Christmas presents than Scott now. The daughter she never had as she says. June never asks or wants for much but we both know she won’t miss this for the world. She’ll be in the middle of every event & will always have everything ready & thought of, before you even realise. She will be the go-to for the trip & that’s just a reflection of who she is. Caring, thoughtful & always remembers. Her only downfall, if you call it a downfall, is crying. Be prepared to give all available tissues to June when the time’s right!
John Kelly
Father of the Groom
John is Scott’s Dad. Although he is a plumber by trade, he also acts as Scott & Emma’s handy man in Foxton. Between painter, patio builder, plumber & just about everything else, he’s a great guy who’s always willing to help you. John’s done a lot for us both over the years and we can’t wait to share this experience with him. He loves a chat, a few beers & a whiskey if it’s going. You may need a few beers and a whiskey for the length of the chat to be fair! Give him a shout if you’ve any plumbing issues in your accommodation, he accepts beer as payment!
Barbara Daly
Mother of the Bride
Barbara is Emma’s mum. She’s everything you want in a mum and more. She treats us all like royalty and she will treat you the same way in Florida. She’s welcomed Scott like a third son to the family, treating him second best only to Kolo. Unfortunately her famous curry won’t make it to Florida so you’ll all have to experience it upon your return at the next party. We both can’t wait to officially join our families together. She really is the best mother in law Scott could ask for. She’s also the shopping and bargain queen of Florida. From homeware to food and clothing, Barbara will know where to go!
Jim Daly
Father of the Bride
Jim, James, Jimbo or Mr Daly is Emma’s dad. He’s the best dad to mostly to Kolo & Hugo, but isn’t half bad to us either. Jim & Barbara’s trips to Florida are the main reason why we are getting married there. Jim & Barbara created the best of times for Emma & James as kids. They kindly invited Scott to this world in 2015 & he’s been back 5 times in 7 years. Jim won’t be found most of the time during this trip mostly because he can’t stick the heat. If he is about, he’ll be dandering around Walmart for hours, or he’ll be getting his daily Chic-fil-A fix. He’s the main man to speak to about NASA if you fancy Kennedy Space Centre during the trip. Although don’t ask Uncle Patrick about NASA/the moon landing. Accordingly to the pigeon club, it was filmed in Donaghadee.
