Maid of Honor
Jordy is my oldest friend, we have known each other since 8th grade! She is my memory keeper, and my Julian apple pie companion. We've watched every Lord of the Rings together, multiple times - we'd try to make a marathon out of the extended versions, which is quite hard to do! Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, we love it all (matching tattoos are in the making). We thoroughly plan on ending up in the same nursing homes when we're old and gray.
Best Man
Andrew is the oldest of my three brothers. Through the years, I have had the privilege of watching him transition from the little brother I always used to beat in video games, to the Army veteran he is today. He’s the first person that made me strive to be a better person, big brother, and role model. I cherish our memories growing up playing baseball, being roommates, to now being my favorite golf partner. I am immensely proud of him, and I’m lucky to call him my brother and Best Man.
Matron of Honor
Amory and I met at a church book club, and while the book club didn't last, our friendship did! Amory calms me when life gets out of whack, and always has the best advice. I feel like we are connected at the soul. When I moved from Portland, she came along for the first couple nights of camping - Glacier NP will always remind me of our little trip. Her laugh is contagious, and her outdoor adventures encourages me to get out myself.
Best Man
Matt is my second oldest brother. He is someone I can always count on to make me laugh with his humor and wittiness. We have grown up being able to bond while sharing a passion for sports, Ohio State Football, Cincinnati Bengals, and quoting the best TV show ever made -- The Office. He has such a caring, loving spirit and I’m lucky to have him as a brother.
Bridesmaid
Nicole and I met while working at a preschool in Portland, and became roommates! Even now, she's my go-to to stay with in Portland when I come to visit. From singing along (loudly) to Lost Stars by Adam Levine, to braiding her hair when I come to town, to taking me on my one and only backpacking trip, Nicole and I have had great times together. She even put up with my crazy cat while we were roommates! Nicole is another one of my outdoorsy friends who encourages me by her adventures.
Best Man
Jack is my youngest brother, and long haired rock-n-roller. Jack and I have bonded over the years through our love of music, and I have watched him develop into such a talented musician and song writer. I love the memories of our many jam sessions in our grandparents’ basement/music studio recording hit songs. On top of that, he is a smart, loving, and caring uncle to his nephew Ayden.
Bridesmaid
Sadie and I met through our S.O.'s (who are best friends). She was one of the first lasting friends I made here in Ohio! While we don't hang out as much as I wish we did (if only we were down the street from each other!), each and every time is a blast. She proves over and over again that you can do anything when you put your mind to it, and it is encouraging to see her strength. I've watched her and Tim become doggy-parents to Humphrey, and now human-parents as they just welcomed a little boy in April. Because of our change of date, Sadie is now able to join our bridal party once more!!
Groomsman
Tim is my best friend that I’ve known since elementary school. From our time playing baseball together in 3rd grade, to high school marching band, to weekend trips in Vegas, most of my best memories include Tim. He is someone I can always count on for anything, and one of the hardest workers I know. Being able to grow up with him, and having him as a friend has made me a better person.
Bridesmaid
Emily and I met through our S.O.'s (who are best friends). She was one of the first lasting friends I made here in Ohio, and up until September of last year, we lived about a 5-minute walking distance from each other. She and her husband have seen Scott and I at our best and our worst - they've been there for us through 4 years worth of relationship building. AND she introduced me to a massive yearly candle sale, and for that I am forever grateful.
Groomsman
Josh is another childhood friend from elementary school. Josh and I have been together for a lot of major life events, and plan on experiencing more. We spent a few years as roommates, co-workers, and neighbors. We have spent countless hours on the patio over a grill having conversations, helping us to navigate life. I am excited to see what the future holds for us next, as our careers and families evolve.
Bridesmaid
Carolyn and I actually met a few years ago when she came through the flight attendant training program, and I was her instructor! During those four weeks that I was instructing her class, I remember hoping that we would be friends after she graduated training - and here we are! Our friendship really solidified when she began dating Erik, and we have grown closer over the years, being there for each other through ups and downs. Carolyn is an amazing decorator and party thrower, I've learned so much from her! Can't wait to have her join us on our big day.
Groomsman
Erik and I met about 5 years ago in the cockpit of a plane at work. Little did we know, that would be the beginning of a wonderful bromance. Our favorite activity together is a sunny day on the golf course. Our second favorite activity together is torturing our significant others with very exciting, constant conversations about airplanes and “pilot stuff”. Erik is yet another friend I’m grateful has been there as we navigate major life events together — from our marriages, new houses, and whatever family growth we may experience in the future.
Bridesmaid
Amanda and I first met back in our first year of college, but only briefly. Flash forward 5 years or so, and I run into her up in Portland at the zoo, only we didn't know how we knew each other at first and it took a few moments to figure it out! Amanda and I share a special bond, one that time can't wear away. We also have a shared love of squirrels. We have the type of friendship where weeks, even months, can go by, but when we finally catch up, it's like no time has passed.
Groomsman
As Dan is my (Darcy) brother, I shall be writing about him! I've known Danny my whole life. When he was born, I'm sure I was very excited to become a big sister! I still am happy to be his big sister. We have had our ups and downs, but in our adult lives we've become close. When I am driving home at midnight, he's a good person to talk with as he's in California and 3 hours behind. We've had a rough patch of it lately, but our family has been made to be stronger, and I'm thankful to have him walk beside me and Mom on Scott and I's special day.
Bridesmaid
El and I met in flight attendant training! We became fast friends, and even worked on a song together for graduation day (which we did very well indeed, and it IS on youtube). We have a shared love of bailey's and strawberries. We have a dream where we work together as a birth team, which would be awesome if it came to fruition someday. For now, I'm loving watching her become an amazing momma to her baby boy, wife to her hubby, and am encouraged by her strive to work on her passions in life.
Bridesmaid
Michelle and I met in flight attendant training! She is honestly one of the most positive upbeat ladies I've ever known. Even when life seems stressful, she finds a way to laugh and smile at whatever is thrown at her. She and I have so many ideas for adventures, and I hope someday to execute them with her. For now, our text exchanges exist mostly of "You in Charlotte?" when we're out flying, in the hopes that we have a break between flights at the same time.
