After dating the traditional way for years, both of us decided to give online dating a try. We matched on Coffee Meets Bagel and planned to meet up at a local distillery for a cocktail and some conversation. Justin showed up in converse and trademark cat t-shirt, Lindsay in cut off jean shorts and coincidently matching converse. After chatting a bit, Justin mentioned his upcoming travel plans to Iceland and learned that seeing the Northern lights was one of Lindsay's childhood dreams. His response "well if we never talk again after today I will still text you a picture to let you know I saw them first." Lindsay thought "well our humor is the same this could work." A little later Justin suggested meeting up with his friends Max and Kristin, who were down the road at a brewery. After a quick internal debate, Lindsay agreed thinking that meeting his friends would help her get to know the real him even quicker. Over beers she got to see how easy going and fun he was, and how much he valued his friends. Plans were made for a second date before even leaving that one. As they got to know each other over the next few months, they learned that they frequented the same restaurants and bars, attended many of the same concerts, and liked a lot of the same activities. One of their favorite coincidences is that a year before they officially met, they were at the same Mumford and Sons concert. Based on the videos taken by each of them of the same song, they were about 30 yards away from each other and didn't know it!

The plan was a normal Friday to get a beer with some friends at the same brewery of the first date, or so Lindsay thought. As they were getting ready, she noticed he was wearing the same t shirt as the first date and had a passing "hmm that's weird' thought but didn't think any more about it. On the way there was a supposed time mix up and Justin suggested grabbing a drink at the distillery they first met at to pass the time until their reservation. Justin finished his pizza first as usual, and when nerves got the better of him, started pulling away Lindsay's mostly finished plate, to which she said "Why are you touching my pizza!" Once she saw the ring box though she knew there was a very good reason, and listened while he asked to be her forever.
