From Strangers to Friends It was a normal work night in 2015 of Ashley bartending. On this particular night a coworkers brother came to visit - spoiler alert, it was Andrew. The two met and instantly connected. They laughed at the bar for hours and talked the night away. Naturally, Ashley did most of the talking while Andrew listened and nodded along. Not long after the two became the best of friends. They started doing everything together; volleyball, camping, kayaking, karaoke, concerts and hanging out whenever they could find the time. From Friends to Dating All of the nights together filled with non-stop laughter and talking until the sun rose. Andrew became a constant in Ashley and Mila's lives and earned their trust and love. He didn't think twice about Ashley having a daughter and happily filled in to be a wonderful dad. The two made it official June 17, 2015. From Dating to Engaged On August 24th, 2024 Andrew had a plan but naturally things went wrong. Every year the two kayak on Lake Geneva and spend the day at the beach for Ashley's birthday. Andrew planned to kayak to their spot at the beach and ask Ashley to marry him. When they reached the lake it was closed for the day, all reservations cancelled and they were not permitted to kayak. Ashley was upset but Andrew immediately changed plans and took them boating on the Chain O' Lakes. Because he knows her better than anyone, he didn't waste any time. He wanted her to have the entire day to celebrate so as soon as she was settled he got down on his knee and asked Ashley to be his wife, even though they both knew the answer was, and always would be, 'Yes'. It's been a long love story for Ashley & Andrew, yet life is still just beginning.
