FAQs

If your question is not answered below, please check the wedding Slack channel at https://sky4eva2019.slack.com/ or reach out to the bride and groom directly.
Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We understand that childcare is expensive, and we love the little ones in our lives. However, we encourage you to arrange childcare if possible so that you can stay late and party with the big kids.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dressy casual is the most succinct way to put it. However, the most important thing is that you are ready to get down outside in the country (there will be a trampoline and bonfire) and your outfit can keep up. Slacks and a dress shirt, a coordinated power suit, or a festive jumpsuit are all good options. The bride will be wearing pink. Costume changes are welcome. Dress in whatever makes you feel fly and has the potential to keep you warm if the weather turns fickle. Pack an umbrella just in case. Stiletto heels are probably a bad idea.

Question

When and where is the ceremony?

Answer

3:45 p.m. on September 21, 2019 at Thirteen Oaks, the Roethler family property, located at 4850 Rapid Creek Rd. NE Iowa City, Iowa.

Question

When and where is the reception?

Answer

The reception will immediately follow the ceremony. The reception dinner will be located at the same venue as the ceremony.

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

A taco bar will be available at the reception.

Question

What if I have a restricted diet?

Answer

We definitely feel for you. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on your RSVP. We are planning on having vegan and gluten-free options, and will address other needs on an individual basis with our guests. Also check out our "Things to Do" page for Iowa City dining recommendations that might meet your needs.

Question

Where should I stay/how should I get there?

Answer

Please refer to the Logistics page on the top menu for hotel and travel information. Limited tent camping on the property is available for free to guests who indicate they are interested in the RSVP.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Wine and beer will be available to guests for free. There will be a self-serve cocktail station with mixers for guests who want to contribute liquor to the cause!

Question

Where should we park for the wedding?
