Flight
We recommend flying into San Diego International Airport (SAN), about 40 miles south of Oceanside — a scenic 40–60 minute drive up the coast, depending on traffic. Uber and Lyft are readily available, or we recommend renting a car if you plan to explore the area during your stay. The train is also a great way to get to Oceanside from the airport/downtown San Diego — see below for details.

Train
The train is a scenic and convenient way to get to Oceanside, with beautiful coastal views along the way. From San Diego International Airport, you can take a quick Uber/Lyft (10–15 minutes) or the free shuttle bus to Santa Fe Depot in downtown San Diego. From there, you have two train options: Amtrak (Pacific Surfliner): The most flexible option, with multiple departures daily (including weekends). Take the train north to Oceanside Transit Center (~45–60 minutes). Coaster: A commuter train running on weekdays during peak hours only, also traveling north to Oceanside. Once you arrive in Oceanside, it’s a short walk to nearby hotels like The Seabird Resort and SpringHill Suites.
